Looks like MSA sells carpet for the 2+2 also.
Id buy carpet but I just bought a parts car so Ill have to wait to get some money saved up.
I just got my sample from stock interiors and didnt really like the carpet. It was really thick and shaggy, even thought it was the thinnist they had.
Yeah, I will be using the auto console with my manual car, hopefully the shift boot bracket piece will fit in properly. If not Ill just have to make myself one. Wont be too hard.
Not to much, most of the interior that I dont use, maybe the door glass, Ill have to see what I can use once I get the car. Im starting more and more to want to keep it to experiment with body/metal work. Possibly a "widebody" similar to GJonas's but the front fenders also. Itll be fun just to mess with and not have to care if I screw up.
The first thing I noticed was it has brand new guages. Also has a perfect center console and door panels.
Yeah, thats why youd have to tilt the radiator forward.
My idea was to remove the radiator core support and replace it with some kind of tubular supports. It still requires some fab, but alot less then a full tube front end.

Heres the one 74_5.0_Z did, and BlueOvalZ has the same style.
I havent found anyone with this style hood that has kept the L6 and the stock front end. Anyone have any ideas on how you could accomplish this with the least amount of cutting? Ive got myself a parts car now so Ill hopefully be experimenting with this.
Obviously youll have to move the top of the radiator forward. Youd also have to make some changes to the fan system. Any other ideas?
This will be for functional purposes so dont say "cut a hole in the hood, your done".
Yeah that was the only thing saw different. Ill have to see If I can get the lid onto the 74 console. The only other thing I saw different was the choke lever.
Also I assume the automatic transmission opening is the same as the manual? You just have to swap out the corresponding pieces?
Well I ended up getting it for $220. The interior is very nice and there isnt to much rust. Lot of stuff I can use, alot of stuff I can sell...
Ill try to get some pictures in the next week or so. Have to get it home first.
According to the FSM all the dimensions on the wheel well are the same as a coupe... Thats why your thread was closed Rusty. I talked to MIkelly about it.
Ive got a timing chain and tensioner Id let go of... It seems to be relatively new because the motor it came off had been rebuilt.
Im going to be looking at a 74.5 260z 2+2 tonight for $250. The interior looks to be in great shape and not to muich rust. It would serve as a parts car/experiment car since it has no motor/trans. But thats not a problem because I dont need a motor/trans.
I believe there are degreasers that you are able to spray all over the engine and leave over night. Then wash off the next day. Id reccomend goign to your local auto parts store.
Ill hopefully be doing a turbo swap in summer for my senior project. Nothing extraordinary, ~200hp. But 200 will probably turn into 250, then 300, 375, then v8, then turbo v8....
Ends up that Stock Interiors doesnt sell the entire kit for a 2+2, although I still check into it.
I may have to go with Upgrade Motoring for carpet. (they sell the entire 2+2 kit)
