This head clearly reads n42 but has round exhust ports and the port walls are square .Has any one ever come across one of these heads? what is it from ? I took some pics but I am having trouble down loading them , so pics will have to wait till my wife comes home.

  5. I love stories like this! Years ago I was driving home from a job out in the middle of nowhere well about 5 miles from town . My z blew a crack in the coolant line to the AAR and started to steam so I pulled over to investigate the problem . I then searched the car for stuff I could use for repairs . I found a soda can and some zip ties . I than cut the ends off of the can and then cut out a small strip of aluminum . I then wrapped the hose with it and secured it with zip ties as hose clamps. This held long enough to get me to the closest auto parts store . A friend of mine once told me he was driving to a party out side of town in his 80's vw cabrio . He got about 2 miles out of town and ran out of gas . He had no gas but did have a big bottle of bacardi 151 . So he removed the hose from the fuel pump inlet ( carberated ) and rigged the bottle under the hood with the fuel line fed inside . This got him back to town where he bought gas and some more party goods (booze) and procedeed back to the party .
  6. WOW that looks good! I painted mine a few months ago my self. i used black wrinkle and light blue metallic. I masked off all the polished sections by hand using a x-acto knife, took forever! next time i will try a d.a. to remove paint instead of masking. here are some pics.
  7. did i fart or something? were did every one go?
  8. I've been skimming through these threads and have been real impressed with all the detail of testing of particular parts. my 76 has the famous rear window louvers and other than being a funky and rad 70's-80's mod do they offer any aero advantages or disadvantages?
  9. http://www.freewebs.com/pallnet/products.htm pallnet has injector holders and i read before you were looking for a fuel rail well he sells them to.

  12. hey randy77zt, i met you at a z meet on treasure island last year . a few weeks back i saw your car at the j-spec car show and smiled. i told my Buddie it's not the prettiest looking s30 here but it's probably the fastest! i loved your under hood heater valve!
  13. WOW thanks zbigtim, thats what I was hopping to find. I searched before I posted and didn't see your post . But then again I was stuck at home with a pinched nerve in my back and was hopped up on painkillers.
  14. I just bought a spector ems pro for my stock 76 z . I plan on using the ford edis for spark and a g20 throttle body. Installed on the car now is a msa 3-2 header , a turbo fuel pump & a c.a.i . every thing else is stock. I looked through the fuel map sticky and found a few maps that are close to stock but most have hot cams. I am a total MS newbie although I have been reading about it for close to a year. Any help would be welcome.
