Finally decided to up grade. Manage to find a 39.10 sti differential for $180 bucks on craigslist. Now time to get those stub axles from Beta Motorsports..
Is that a good price for a LSD?

$10k engine bay,$10k suspension,$15k body&paint, $10k interior..... I say its about a $50,000 dollar car.
-
I seen better looking cars from members on here. That have spend less money than that.
-
must be nice to be rich and be dumb enough and to pay over 100k on a stock restoration.

Clean it up and cut out a thick steel sheet and weld it up and you should be fine.

I would get new bushings all around, and the steering components, bearings on front and rear hubs and stub axles. Find out whats draining your battery. After that then you can start messing with coilovers. That clunk noise is probably the differential good luck getting rid of it. I have that noise also when I go thru the gears so I have too go thru them slowly by releasing the clutch slowly.

isn't the z in the junkyard a 2+2 and the one being driven a regular 240z with no turbos only triple carbs

Yes made a caliper bracket 1/2 steel..spacers are 1/2 for the rotors. Inside diameter of rotors has to be made bigger and new holes redrilled

When I installed my glass I just used two pieces of wood those paint mixing sticks. It was pretty easy, I had to pay someone for the windshield.

Made a 78mile round trip for a brake booster. Oreileys auto parts save my butt. Only place that had it instock $102.
-
so my brake booster took a crap on me today. Notice the brake pedal was really hard and braking was horrible. Also rpms went up as I pressed the pedal. I reverse the check valve and pressed on the pedal and rpms stays the same so leads me to believe that its a bad brake booster.

So this weekend I decided to mess with these HID lights since the ebay type 7" round headlight suck. The glare is horrible its like its always on high beams. So I decided to mess with the projectors I opened them up and right away I saw that the lens looks like the bottom of a coke bottle just bad, and it didn't have a cut out plate. I had a set of silvia 2 projectors that I had used on a 240sx I used to have, I took those apart and used the low beam projectors which have a fixed cut off plate. Made a fiberglass enclosure so no moisture gets in. Yet I'm still using the original buckets just that I had to cut the back part but still retain the spring so I can align the light.
I used blue sealer I had laying at the house bad idea it shows, but I was to lazy to spend more money.
So I used ebay type 7" headlight housing
s13 silvia projectors fixed low beam ( for now till I get some bi-xenon projectors so ill have high/low beam)

How did you do the wiring for your H4 HIDs? I'm about to buy a set myself but I'm weary as I'm not purchasing a plug and play kit (just a generic HID kit DDM's to be exact) Did you have to splice alot of wiring to get everything to work? Or was it not that bad?
Well I bought a Hight/Low HID kit. Plus I had ebay special 7" round headlights which I need to modified cause the glare is everywhere. I would suggest you buy the kit Its not that expensive.
