  1. Race cars are as finicky as the wife, you do rub the dash above the gas gauge every time you get in? Fred
  2. Harry, They would override the weight on wheels switch and that will allow the props to reverse (at least in a P-3). Dave, Did you have the same override?
  3. The Blue Angels C-130 "Fat Albert" does it all the time with JATO bottles. Flatley later made Rear Admiral.
  4. It is an LY, I have seen that car at the Japanese Z-Fiesta, equivalent national convention. There were very few made, less than 10. I think I saw 3 or 4 of them.
  5. I grew up on the Space Coast and have seen many launches. The best ever was the night Apollo launch.
  6. In the 70's anyone with a Japanese car was a ricer! I owned 3 Datsun's in the 70's. Fred B.
  7. I took aa interior piece to the Sherman Williams automotive paint store. They had a gun that got them close and then they "played". The color is perfect. I probably have the mixture somewhere for both the early and late colors.
  8. Warren, Your bigger "family" is deeply saddened by your loss and we will keep your family in our prayers.
  9. I have an ZX R200 3.9 rear end in my 78 280Z with stock stub axles. I am looking to put in an LSD unit and think I am down to two options: 1. The Calmini, that I have confirmed with them is a 29 spline. http://www.purenissan.com/r200a_lsd.htm 2. The 240SX NISMO LSD Limited Slip Differential (240SX 1989-1998 w/o OE LSD) SKU: 38420-RS661 http://www.thenissanpartsstore.com/Pages/Ecomm/Product_category.asp?prodCatId=16 Any thoughts or opinions? This is a street car (Daily Driver) that I autocross and track occasionally. Thanks, Fred
  10. No, this was not a US standard item.
  11. Sorry about the fusible link distractor, you did not say what year and I am so used to 77-78's.
  12. This is a Z32 right? Call them and ask how many hours of labor and the price of parts. A Z32 is a real pain to pull injectors, check the standard rate I will be 6 hours or more of labor.
  13. Todd at Tidewater is the best around and he charges way less than most people.
  14. That car is a former national gold medallion winner based in Norfolk VA. It helps when you are a master machinist.
  15. Clive, Nice trip, but weather marginal yesterday and today. Talk to you when I get back. Fred
  16. G'day Mate! Another late congrats from Down Under! :burnout: Fred

  18. Remember that when you start sliding keep your foot off the clutch and the brake. You have to correct for slides with the gas pedal and the steering wheel. I hit black ice on Friday and it almost put me in a ditch.
