  3. Hello chevyz240. I am following your build sometimes, and i was wondering how far the project would be? In the last couple of years i chopped my 280 and i am now prepping for paint. Can i find some pics of your car? This is mine, greetz Jack280
  4. Custom frame tuned puch engine 70cc gocart rear tire 210 cm wide by 5inch Dirt bike handle Hand shaped and hammered aluminum tank and fender and top speed approx 80kmh drives like shit but too cool and to much work....
  5. Headroom is ok. The seat is om the floor and tilted a little backwards. Exact measurements i dont know on this time. It has been a long time ago. Some new pics
  6. I keep in mind that the car looks like the factory meant to build it
  7. After sandblasting and epoxy fitting the body panels Sanding To be continued.
  8. I am just back from a trip to Cuba. Got new inspiration and cant wait to prep all body panels. Metal work is done, window frames will fit. I cut my template for my door glass. To be continued.
  9. It took some time to smooth the body. At one point I lost my patience, so I spent some time on a L24 engine. Just a clean up and turbo swap. Fresh paint and matching a modified watercooled intercooler injection intake. I had some days of from work and now it had to happen. I bougt some Mount fuji blue 564, direct gloss black and 2 litres of spray filler. First layer on the sanded body is grey epoxy. After a couple of long days, you can see the result, and the sanding continues........
  10. After some clouds of dust, there will be a smooth wide body. A lot of sanding and patience.
  11. Last week started with prepping for paint, finally. There will be no square feet un modified, so there will be a lot of work. And sanding
  12. Body solder on front fender and ventilation for lens cover. I welded a tube in the lens bucket in the top corner in the front, this can be connected to a ventilation hose.
  13. Modification of the radius to fit the windscreen.
  14. Update, found a Custom badge for the back of the car Door seam correction with lead. Add some extra material on the rear fender. Overview from the back A lot of work to get the body prepared for paint.
  15. No Tony, my floor is raised 30mm and mijn chassismember is straight from the front to the lowest point of the original floor in the back. The seat is mounted on the floor in back. I tried a zagato styled roof in the past, but that looked ugly. That was my first roof fitting series.
  16. I was looking for a chopped z roof and it was hard to find. I put my car on a flat floor with som reinforcements welded in the door gap. Had something in mind between 50 and 75mm. Removed the complete windscreen frame and that allows me to find the right angle. My biggest issue was head space. The lower you go with the roof, more trouble you will find with the radius of your door glass and frame. For exact measurements search in the beginning of this thread.
  17. This evening welded for third time my roof on my car. I made a test fit with the stock windscreen, a couple weeks ago, and the gap was to big. I modified the windscreen flange on top and bottom and used an other roof. After 5 series of fitting the windscreen and roof, I found the best option.
  18. Hi Tony, thanks for the pics from the end of my cars life in your garden. Still working on the reincarnation to give the car a new life. Xander,Memories? sometimes its more like a nightmare to find time to complete the project. Nice avatar, I drove that car more than 70k km and used it for parts. Memories, it was a nice time
  19. Today mount fuji blue in the sun outside the garage. Just to check the color by daylight.
  20. This is just a mockup to try my options. The charge cooler is from a Jaguar x300 and welded to a modified injection intake. My plan is to put the m90 on a l28, but that engine has to be built from begin to end. I have a running n/a L26 to put in the car when ready some time. When the car is running i can put the turbo with charge cooler on the L26 without modifications on intake and exhaust........ as far as I can see right now. I DONT have plans to use both together.
  21. I could not find any pics from nissan mount fuji blue, so i bought some paint to make a color test on some parts and a scale model. It is very hard to get the color right on the picture, but the scale model comes close to reality. I can try to make some better pics by daylight fom the car. home made airdam billet aluminum rims with 18" ferrari f50 front tyres first pics in the workshop Greetings Jack
