    congratulations I hope I can get to that point with my 240zt

     

     

    Can you tell me how you hooked up your coil, I can't get my v3.0 to fire the coil. Do you have both of the pull up resistors as shown in DYI. write up, also it said to not use the G/Y wire but instead us the G/B wire. Are you saying you used the G/Y wire for your tack signal?

    OK' date=' I looked at the msq file, now I have several questions and advice for you:

     

    1. How did you set up megatune so that it is configured correctly for 024s code?

    Im not sure as my friend did the set up, we will check it out

     

    2. Did you calibrate the TPS?

    No I have not calibrated the tps.

    3. You have not calculated required fuel correctly yet (see the tuning section of the manual), required fuel of 12 in your msq means that you are using stock 280zxt injectors, is that true?

     

    No I'm running 370cc injectors, how ever we did have the required fuel calculated I wounder if we posted the wrong file.

     

    4. Your fuel VE table is screwed up, it has the value 22 loaded in more than half the table, you need to fix that (make it look like the VE table in the sticky) interpolate to fill in the extra spaces if needed.

     

    5. Same problem on the spark table, it has 22 loaded in half the table. It should look like the ignition table in the sticky.

     

    This may sound like tough love, but you have to read the tuning manual and the instructions for MSnS_Extra or you are just hurting yourself. I can point out everything to get the car running, but then when one thing goes wrong in the future you won't know what to do.

     

    [b']ONE OTHER THING, I don't think the resistor between 11 and 12 is needed with the v3.0 board if you are using the IGBT coil driver, Foundsoul, is that needed as far as you know?[/b]

     

    We took the day off but will work on the car tomorrow night. We are going to start over and reprogram everything and see how that goes. One thing we get a cranking RPM of about 147, would this be a tack signal?

    I'm having problems with my 3.0 board. I had the board set up to drive my coil when I had it build.(DYIAUTOTUNE) I install it just as the instillation guide said . When I try to start the car it does not get a tack single or injector pulse. I'm not getting spark or fuel.

     

    This is how I have the relay board wired up

     

    pin # 1 neg. to INJS. 1-3

    PIN # 3 NEG. to INJ. 4-6

    PIN.# 5 fuel pump

    pin.# 6-10 not used

     

    PIN. # 11 1k 1/4 watt resistor ( one end of resistor in pin #11 and other end is in pin # 12)

     

    PIN # 12 coil ground.( neg. side of coil)

    + side of the coil is from fuel pump relay with a 10 amp fuse

     

    pin # 15( tack single) G/B wire from distributor also ( have 12 v to 1k 1/4 resistor to pin # 15 as well. I ran the 12 v from pin# 4 on the injector power supply.)

     

    Distributor 12 v (b/w wire is connected to the old coil 12 v from the 240z)

     

    distributor neg. - is connected to body ground

     

    I have the old white resistor from the 240z harness still hook up, ( B/w 12 v to one side and G/W to the other side.) I'm not sure but I think the G/W connects to the tack in the car.

    I checked to power to the dist. with key on and I'm getting 12 v

    I checked the injectors and they are getting 12 v but when cranking they do not pulse.

    I turn the spark out put invert ot "yes"

    set FIDLE TO idel control

    set LED #17 to spark

     

    I swapped out dist. still no tack single, no fuel.

    When I pull the dist. out and spin it by hand the fuel pump runs like it should.

     

     

    In Moby's sticky it say the set the timing to TDC and back it off 45* and turn the dist until the middle LED light comes on. I tried this but the light does not come on.

     

    I loaded moby's maps to the ECU.

     

    Can any one help.

    Brian I looked at my receirt from DYI all is said ids MSNS-E FIRMWEAR loaded. Would this what you are talking about, if not if there a way to find out when I plug in the laptop, or do I have to E-mail Jerry at DYI.

    I looked in the map sharing sticky but did not find what I was looking for. I would like to find someone with a set up like my (370cc injectors) or close to my that would like to share their maps with me. This is what I'm running

     

    STOCK N42 BLOCK

    N42 HEAD

    STOCK TURBO T/3

    DIS. FOR A 83 TURBO

    Well I have been installing my megasuqirt over the passed couple weekends. Yesterday I got the ECU. installed and check the unit to see if the relay board would turn the fuel pump on for a few seconds, which it did. I turn the engine over to check for spark, nothing the coil would not fire. I have the 3.0 board which was build by DYI. I though I would have to turn the spark control when I hook up the laptop for tuning, so today I installed the wide band and turn the key on to calibrate it when notice the fuel pump was not coming on anymore. I checked for 12 v at the pump and nothing, I check for 12 v at the coil and it too is dead just like last night. When I turn the key the ECU powers up and I hear the fuel pump relay come on and switch off after a few seconds. I still have not hooked up the laptop to the ECU yet as I run out of time to keep working on the car. Does anyone have an idea of where I should start?

    can I get some input, I'm in the process of wiring up my megasqurit i don't have a laptop but do have a friend that had one but he might be leaving his job in a few weeks and would not have the laptop anymore. I hope to have my car on the road soon, I have about $250.00 do I buy me a loptop ( ebay) or would the money be better spent on the wide band. I do have the stock o2 sensor that I can use, just not sure how it's going to work. If you can include in you answer why you thing going with one over the other is better, that would be great.

    I'm in the market for a set of seats for my 240zt. this car is my fun toy I'm not racing or auto crossing with just a driver. What I'm looking for recommendations of a good seat in the $ 400.00 price range. Anyone with experience with one of these seat set could you please give opinion and what brand you have.

    the time has come for me to get new tires for my 240zt, I found three brand but I'm not sure what tire would work best ( 225-50-15). I drive my car from spring until

    the first snow falls, and only on sunny days. I'm looking for input form anyone that has run one of these tires or have any experience with them. The brands I'm looking at are the Falkens ziex-512, Nito Nt-450 and the BGGoodrich G-Force sport.

    I'm in the process of converting my 240zt to megasqurit. What I need to know is what have you guy used to connect the air filter to the turbo, as I would like to get rid of the stock rubber boot. Also if you have pictures of you set up please post it.

    Hi I have been out of the car stereo seen for about 15 yrs now, looking for an amp for my 240zt. I was told about this line of amps call (Audiobahn ) does anyone have any experience with these or know anything about them. I was told the Audiobahn A6004T is good unit.

    I looking for tires for 240z, I would like to run 225/50/15 and looking for cars with this size tire on them . Just want to get an idea of what they look like on the 240z. Any running this size and have some pic's of you car can you post them or send them to me. If at all possible send some of different angles please thanks.
