exactly I had to have a machine shop cut off the flange and weld in a 30 degree angle. Since the had the flange off I could see there was way too much metal behind the flange. It would have been air hitting a brick wall. But I had them machine it out.
-
Well they look cool but i had to actually take mine apart and re-machine it to fit. So I saw that it had some turbulent spots that I machined out.

Oh Ya just so everyone know the car weighed 2610lbs with the L28 in it. Now it weighs 2698 with the 2jz in it. The extra weight is not completely over the front wheels tho, but is now a little front end heavy. By relocation the battery to the back It should take care of that.

Im running a rebuilt r200 long nose with 336 gear ratios. I plan to put a lsd in it as soon as i get the car presentable. But the car hooks up pretty well even with 225's on it....granted I havnt floored it yet.

its goinna be a bit until i try for 1000hp but yes if my tranny goes- im goin to have marlin crawlers rebuild it.
-
r154's hold around 700hp in supras but they are ticking time bombs at that power. I Feel that it will hold because Z's weigh so much less the supras lol.
-
I plan on running 245's max because i dont want to cut the quarters. And we only have tuned up to 8 psi!!!!!!! I didnt one pull that hit 15psi but it went lean so we need to do ALOT more tuning! And 8 psi-quarter throttle the car sounds like an airplane taking off LOL...the turbo is sooo loud is friggn SEXY!
-
Hey guys i drove the car 50 miles yesterday tuning the beeeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssssst!!!!!! Its friggggnn faaaaaaaaaaaast
-
I plan to do a few (freeway) pulls tonight to see how the tuning is looking...

I know this doesn't add much to your build but i was just reading through it. I have come to the conclusion there is only one word that comes to mind. "nuts". LOL Amazing build and so much work i hope it works out big time. I wonder how youll do vs my z?
-
Thats not me being aggressive.... Just tryn to save you some time.
Little agressive aren't you. I never said anything about using USDM ECU . I did use the pinout for the USDM supra with the one exception on the odd shaped plug. Motor started and revved perfect. Turbos fuctioned properly as well. I was using a JDM ecu.No offense was meant to you MIKE321. I hope the best for your wiring issues to be resolved on your project.

-
AHHHH YOUR STILL ALIVE MATT!!!! lol where you been at?
Lets get it done man. Cant wait to see it finished. -
ALRIGHTTTTT I just got my USDM wiring harness in the mail yesterday and its sitting next to my car now. I went through it and it looks good!!! sooooooo hopefully by this weekend the weather will let up enough to get that installed.
-
Just so you know...the aristo wiring differences are VERY different then usdm. I had to re-pin my whole ecu block to work with a usdm ecu!!!! TRUST ME if you get a jdm motor buy a separate USDM wiring harness. Unless ofcourse you plan on running a jdm ecu.

True I touched it

Replacing the plugs is as simple has pulling out the wires from the clip and plugging them in the new clip. not much room for mistake when you hold the new clip next to the old one......
You mentioned earlier that it couldn't possibly have been a wiring issue because you were using a factory un altered wiring loom and didn't change anything. Now you mention replacing plugs. Come on mate, there is definitely room for mistakes there. -
sorry shaggy, i replaced all the plugs/pigtails with new oem ones lol. Im puttn those on the usdm harness when it gets here.
-
Well Toyota said It would take a month to get a new wiring harness so i got a used usdm one off supraforums. Its un altered and was on a running car.
the start of the B.customs Z has begun..2jz 1000hp
