  1. umm im pretty sure you will need to do some changes because the boost comes on a a completely differnt time then stock twins...more boost=more fuel needed and im sure the stock ecu cant handle the extra boost.
  2. I found a place at the local race track. Infinieon racway. IM bringing them the car on saturday and we will see what they can do with it.
  3. on the series one ems you can do that....but i have the new series 2 ems that hasnt been out long enough for them to have "pre-made" maps im probably going to end up towing the damn thing to aem themselves.

  5. OH i know about that! im not tryn to save money...im trying to FIND someone who is willing to tune my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have called at least 4 tune shops in my area and no one is willing to even try!!! One even told me i should tow it to LA to have a supra tune shop tune it....i mean wtf!
  6. LOL STONY..... out here 300 bucks is prob 3 hours of dyno time and then you have to pay the tuner 100 bucks an hour on top of that
  7. Yesterday i was able to barrow a friend of mines supra aem ems. Plugged it into my car..did not change anything...and it revved to over 3500 rpms then started limiting...so at this point im almost positive its just tuning!!!!!!!!
  8. today hopefully im going to try a buddys supra aem box and see what happons
  9. there is another option then an oem crank sensor? all my sensors are stock with stock wiring harness..... Ya i think a scope is a good idea..at this point i have to bring it to a seriously skilled mechanic any suggestions around here??? im just north of san Francisco california.
  10. the aem system is plug and play so the only things i had to splice in were a map sensor and a air temp sensor
  11. In order to wire the coils backwards i would have to cut up my wiring harness and move the plugs around. the wiring harness on a 2jz is form fitted to the coils so plugging them in wrong is virtually impossible. As for the WOT question...no i was not WOT i was about 15% throttle.
  12. i dont think so...when its warm it idols extremely smooth with no hicups or anything.
  13. lol ya streetfire does that now!! its lame...you can fast forward through them tho.... I have talked to AEm multiple times and they are kinda scratching their heads and want me to try someone elses ems at this point in time....but its kidna hard to find someone willing to unplug their box.

  15. it runs GREAT!!!!! revs great..doesnt over heat or anything!!! but when i hit 2500rpms it back fires and pops like crazy. i meant In neutral i haven't driven the car yet.
  16. but this is happening at idol? no load? i guess technically i could be hitting boost???

As of Yesterday my car is TUNED..untill 2500rpms. for some reason it acts like it is hitting a rev limiter at 2500 rpms.... now I have talk to MANY professionals and everyone is scratching their heads. Things i have Checked to see what could be cause it. 2step rev limit in AEM---OFF Main rev limit in aem---8000rpms sync status ---0 even if ignoring sync it still does it. timing---set fuel---set can anyone add to the list of things i could check????? remember this is a series 2 EMS

NO MORE OVERHEATING...... found the problem was my gauge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it wasnt set u right for the toyota temp sensor so it gave a false reading. car runs at idol very nicely we have run it a temp for long periods of time with no hoses failing or oil leaks!!! it revs nicley until 2500rpms it feels like hit hits a rev limiter. but since we can heat up the motor not we found a intake leak behnf the trottlebody that i need to fix!
