  1. It is built into the switch; it's not a part available on its own. You'll have to replace the whole unit.
  2. Sorry, patience is not my strong suit but I'll work on it. You are correct that I am talking about my '78. Thanks for the info!
  3. I can't believe no one has any input on this. Guys (and gals) that have installed aftermarket gauges and senders, did you eliminate the stock senders or somehow just add the aftermarket ones?
  4. This is probably a DUMB question but.... I'm replacing all my gauges with Speedhut gauges to include their oil pressure and coolant temp units. I see from the FSM that both of the stock sending units go to the EFI control unit. Also, the new units require the use of their sending units. So... 1. Will the elimination of the stock sending units for oil and temp cause a problem with the fuel EFI control? 2. If I use Speedhut's sending units, which must be of different current and/r resistance than stock, be OK? 3. Do I need to keep the stock senders in place and ADD the new ones just for the gauges? If yes, does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to do so? Sorry for the multiple questions. I found many related threads but none touched on this issue. Thanks!!
  5. I just went through the same search. You have 3 options unless you get lucky and find someone on the board willing to part with some. 1. You can still find a R side or L side, I can't remember which, but not the other. They are interchangeable if you have a matching outer tie rod. Example: 2 left inner = 2 left outer or 2 right inner = 2 right outer. 2. But a re-manufactured rack & pinion. They come with new inner ends and the added benefit of new seals, shims, etc. 3. Send your R&P out to be rebuilt. See #2 above.
  6. I hate to resurrect the dead but I'd like to know if the OP has completed his install. If so, any finished pics? I'm working on the same project with 4" GPS speedo; 4" Tach; 2 5/8 oil, volt, and water; and 2" fuel level and fuel pressure. I eliminated the stock radio and relocated it into the glove box and created a custom filler in the console that I mounted the 2" fuel gauges. The console fab is done, the old gauges are out, and I'm just running the wiring and preparing to mount the 5 that go in the stock locations. Any update would be appreciated.
  7. I know the inner door panels are smaller and not a direct fit replacement so my guess would be, no.
  8. That does look nice. I like that style a lot more than the one they show for our cars with the leather tie at the top. Did you specify it that way or is that what they would consider a custom boot?
  9. Any updates / pics from anyone else using their boots. I'd really like to see any of their other products in our cars.
  10. It does. I'm working on either a conversion adapter for the existing tank or I may just have a new aluminum tank made set up to use it. Donno yet. Thanks for the replies.
  11. Any barbed rails available? I'm ready to buy!!
  12. I've searched this forum and others to no avail. Has anyone installed Speedhut's fuel sender unit with their Revolution series gauge? I've heard of problems with any aftermarket gauge and the OEM sender so I was wondering if anyone has gone this route with success. Thanks in advance!
  13. How do these differ in fit from the 77-78 panels? Anyone know?
  14. Sorry to revive a somewhat old thread but I noticed your rear hatch glass trim is all black. I can't tell if it is a smooth rubber seal without the track for the chrome trim or the regular seal just witout the trim. Can you advise? If it is a smooth seal can you recall where you got it?
