  1. Something funny that happened to me when i got married. Wife worked about 60km from home. One guy drives the van (16 seater) picking up all the women in the morning and bringing them back in the afternoon. One afternoon they are late . We did not have cellphones at that stage so i cannot contac her . I got worried and cross the later it was getting. Young newly married wife not on time Eventually she get home and me the fool cant controll my temper going on why she is late.Eventually when she got a chance to speak she said it rained wery hard on the way back from work. She said they stood next to the road because the plugs got cold . Neverless i started laughing  because i think what she meant was that water got somewhere in he ignition system (she knew nothing about engine's). Till today when we drive in the rain i mock her about plug's that go cold.

  3. Hi there:grin: Today I received all my ARP bolts from Summit racing. I am still waiting for my block and crank from the engineering works.
  4. Hi , got my name from sitting in my friend's car one day. He had a CB radio in the car and was chatting on it. He went into the house for something and left me with the radio to chat . The person on the other end asked me what my handle was .Since i did not have one I felt stupid and kind of looked up . He had a sunroof in his car an I saw the name SUNMASTER on it. Well i replied to the person that my handle is SUNMASTER and that is how i got my name. This happened in 1983 and till today i use this name for a lot of things. On one of our South African sites a person asked me also why i was called SUNMASTER .He said he figured out since my car is yellow and my engine comes from the land of the rising sun it is a proper name for me:grin:

If hey are not he same can someone give me a picure or link so that I can see what it look's like. The reason i am asking is because i have to convert the block that i send in for machine work to a front bowl pan . Thank's to All for the help. 7. Hi to You All does anyone have more pictures of this damper?
  8. This is very interesting .I like the machined bracket for the pickup. At the stage i was building mine I did not knew about this website. No one in the area drive a L6 with aftermarket gadgets. I had my trigger wheel machined to push on from the engine side onto the damper.I positioned it and spot welded it in place. Here is a link to my setup.http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n41/SUNMASTER_2006/HPIM0014.jpg What is the distance You set between Your pickup and wheel.Mine has to be at 0.3mm . Thank You

  12. My new rods arrived today from Courtesy Nissan
  13. Sunmaster, you're actually reversed, in a DC circuit current (electron flow) flows from negative to positive. In a negative ground automotive circuit that makes sense since the body of the car acts as a giant bus bar for power distribution Yes thank You for the correction , but there is nothing wrong with the circuit i described . It would not matter whether it flows from positive to negative or the other way around.
  14. sorry it is 3:00 AM in the morning i reread Your post . The way i see it when You start the car You turn the ignition switch..... current flows from the ignition to the starter relay's coil. that should be the 12v positive side . The other side of the relay coil goes straight to negative (earth) As soon as You turn the key the relay pulls in and the contacts inside the relay close to let the current flow from Your battery 12v positive side to Your solenoid. Now You have to remove the negative wire from the relay coil and run a new wire from the starter relay coil's negative side to the lighter and connect it in the place of the original wire that was supplying the lighter with 12volt positive to complete the cicuit. i would also sujest bridging out the resistance coil in the lighter........but this will mean that You have to push in the lighter to start the car and remember to pull it when you want to isolate that circuit I hope this will help ......please ignore the previous post of me
