I put washers on the bolts to space the engine out a bit more so it doesnt hit the flywheel.
I tried starting it but cant get it to run. Can u guys help me out a bit more as to exactly what to wire. Im thinking my problem is the distributor because mine has 3 wires coming off of it, and all the wiring diagrams I have shore only two, i'm not sure how to wire it.
I'm planning on having a lot if polish under the hood. Does anybody have any pictures? My plan is to have the intakes, the tops, valve cover, alternator, some paint here and there. Just a nice clean engine bay with tucked wires.
Post those pics!
I think ive got everything ready for it to start except there's one issue. One the flywheel, I turned it by hand to make sure it would clear all the way around the mounting bolts in the stand and it doesnt, there is some nipples on the flywheel that hit the bolts and wont allow it to properly turn
Hi guys, if anybody has a pair they no longer need or want let me know, free would be nice, but I can pay for them if its pretty cheap.
I need them for a stock L24 that I'm gonna drop into my 260z. I Bought the engine and car separately so neither the engine or car have the mounts. Thanks for looking.
Hi guys, sorry if i'm asking silly questions but this is my first project ever do i'm not too sure about a lot of things.
I have a 260z with no engine and automatic transmission, I also just bought an l24 with a 5spd. I would like to get that setup running. I'm thinking im gonna have to add the clutch pedal assembly (I have a manual 240z parts car that I can probably get this from) the clutch master & slave cyls, other than that what other things do I need to do or consider for the conversion?
I've seen some videos of people starting engines on engine stands with what seems like nothing more than a battery, garden hose and small fuel tank. Have any of you tried this with an l24?
I need help, I need to know what components need to be on the engine and how to wire it to start it and test it on my engine stand for a couple minutes.
BluDestiny, I'm not to sure if its the fit or the angle of the photo. it seems its showing a bit more of the driver side.
Maybe if the shot was centered more the hatch button would look more centered. I thought the same thing though.
I did do a search but didnt punch in the right keyworks I guess.
Hey thank you Mike!
Here's the PS. It's just a quick mock up.
I used a pic of my 350z with the same rims. The ones on the 350 are 18x11,
I just scaled them down to fit the rotas for a somewhat accurate representation of how it would look like.
Dont tell me anything about how dirty it is...
