Hi guys, I was hoping we could find the manufacturer of this whale tail/ spoiler. Im working on my 240z and looking for a nice tail to add to it and came across a fellow members ride. According to okstance.com he bought it from Craigslist and has little information on it. Here are the pics. Hopefully someone can identify it. I'm aware this might also be a custom one off piece. I hate when I fall in love with things I cant have Still I would like to find something even close to this.

I think ill do a Photoshop, I',m anxious to see what they will look like too.

OK im working on my car tearing it down and as we all know we are bound to find our cars dirty little secrets. After i took the passenger fender off i noticed the support was bent and had some booty work done. I have a 260z parts car i was thinking of just replacing that part and welding it back straight. Also the rear passenger shock tower had some work done. Looks like it has some wrinkling around it, im not sure what happened with it. Anyone have any ideas on how i should go about fixing the trunk floor around that area. I took measurements and it all seems straight according to the measurements from the factory chassis dimensions. This is the Driver side shock tower for comparison, no work seems to have been done here. Also theres no wrinkling around it either. Help is really appreciated.

I want to do that with my airdam. I like how it flows up to the flares, it looks and works so good. Someone should do a writeup on how to go about doing a project like this.

I'm not sure if ill be stretching the tires. Maybe a slight stretch with a 255 or 265 but I'd rather use bamf flares and fill them in nicely with a decent tire and a proper spacer. Tybe260 Cant say for sure but most likely anything less than a 1inch spacer will not work. The 2 inch spacer probably will with your stock suspension. In that case you'll need longer bolts. I'm not to sure of safety though. Theres lots of pros and cons using spacers but depends on what ur comfortable with I guess.

Thanks sunny. Im a little confused now though. In the diagram the Rotas show that they have a bigger lip, but in actual measurements the Rota is ~3.5" and the XXr's are 4.24". Is there some variable im not seeing?

I just looked that one up, its insane. So sites anyone know what the actual lip size is on the Rota 17x9.5?

How big is the lip on the rotas? looking at that diagram it looks like they're bigger. My understanding is that the XXR 526 wheels have a 4.25" lip and the Rotas are 3.5? But I dont know, i emailed racinglab and thats what they told me. Im leaning towards the bigger lip with the XXR's.

I read somewhere that i could get away with at most 5.5 of backspace using coilovers, so im thinking with at least a 1 inch spacer i should be ok. Im not sure though thats why im posting here, maybe someone has a little more info on the subject.
