  1. Considering these wheels for my Z. XXR 526's they are 17x10 4x114.3 lip is 4.25" My first option was the 17x9.5/9 Rota Rb Wheels but after seeing these I kinda am split between the two. 1.) Will the XXR's fit the Z if i run the 17x10 rear and 17x9 in the front? I plan on using Coilovers with Flares 2.) How big is the Lip on the 17x9.5 Rotas? 3.) Your opinion on these wheels. I got the same XXRs in 18x10.5 with same lip size for my 350z and placed them against the Datsun to see how they would look. I love it. Ill upload more pictures later on today. Thanks
  2. It shouldn't rub on anything on the inside, you should have 108 mm (4.2'') of backspace on these.
  3. epsilon, 15x10 and 15x8, they are getting replaced wiht 17x10 and 17x8.5 soon though, have a buyer for them already

  4. I love all those metallic greys. Any others out there that would like to share their pics? fyi im planning on getting the paint from http://www.automotivetouchup.com you can look up the paint by code WA637R
  5. Dang back fees....i hope i dont have many. ill have to sell one of the 260z if its a lot. Thanks for the suggestions, ill look into them. Going for a fun car with a little bit of show.
  6. Yeah probably right, its too good to be true. I'm gonna get the Rota 17" Stagger package for the car, ZG flares, Custom fuel lines, custom fuel tank, custom surge tank, Tokico struts, GC coil-overs, Camber plates, Dual exhaust in similar fashion to 350z or single exhaust with electronic cutout , Austins Shifter re-locator, Custom Speedhut Gauges, 1" wilwood brake master cylinder, new booster, Red interior, with dark grey exterior (Cyber gray or Graphite grey pearl) New weatherstripping, Poly urethane bushings, AZC wilwood brake conversion. Rear diffuser, custom engine mount, tranny mount. Not sure which rear diff ill use yet. There's a lot more. Ill keep updating. Pictures are better, also modify the Flares so that they blend in better with the air dam. Like so... Basically this stance, same wheels also. If i can get my hands on a Competition hood scoop ill add that in. And a custom Dual Exhaust with Rear diffuser ( I Photoshopped this ) sorry if i used any members photos, i love your rides!
  7. Im super lucky to come up on this deal! thank you.
  8. I'm not sure what the title of this car is, i forgot to mention this. All i got was a bill of sale from the person i bought it from. He said the cars came from Georgia and the law there is that vehicles older than 86 don't require a title. I asked about the cali plates and he said that's how he bought them, he had a total of 5 and i bought the 2 off of him for $500. Ive yet to go to the DMV to try and register it. I wonder if it will be a big issue. He also gave me a notarized document stating since its from Georgia it did not have a title.
  9. Finally starting a build thread. I have three Datsuns. Two of them are 260z and one is a 240z. This thread will be on the 240z. I picked one of the 260's and the 240 as rollers for $500. I chose to work on the 240z because I like the rear lights better and the typical rust areas are not as bad on it. It has a flawless dash, i haven't found any cracks on it. The extra tire compartment has absolutely no rust, and there seems to only be some minor surface rust on the floor pans. It doesn't have an engine but the 2nd 260z does, which i'm going to pull and drop in the 240z for now. Im gonna get that running till i can get everything i need for the VQ35DE swap. Here she is along the new school, Still has the Blue and yellow license plates, hard to see from this angle. Stripped it down a little. took of some insulation from the passenger floor pan. could it really be? it says 9,934 miles!? Driver floor RR tower, im confused about this, i grinded it down a bit thinking it was just gunk on it, but looks like someones done some welding on it. I have no idea why. Maybe it was bent or cracked? any ideas? The RL seems fine i do have the fenders, hood and valance but they all are gonna get replaced. Seems like it might have been hit in the front right of the car. Ill take pics of that later. Well thats it for now.
  10. yeah pricey. Maybe i can try vacuum forming some with lexan, adding a diffuser to the inside and giving that a yellow spray/tint.
  11. I found this.... 240z Lenses I sent them an email asking about availability, price, and shipping to the states but i still haven't received a response. Hopefully I get SOMETHING soon.
  12. wow, sorry to hear about your job. You are like 99 percent done. Honestly, you would probably get more if you parted everything out, but that takes time. Not everyone wants a vq35 powered Z, i do, but that's me, someone else might just want/need some of the parts you have. Then you could also just bolt up and finish everything you have right now and sell as is. Just depends what you financial situation is. I would hate to sell my Z, but you have to set priorities and see things for what they really are.
  13. Just to try out the green light thing, i got a bunch of Christmas lights i was putting up and took all the green ones in a bunch and crammed them in the tail light lens. Its not as bright as i thought, the red lens filters out all other colors besides red so obviously its dimmer. But there is a slight yellow/amber huh to it. I'm gonna go ahead and try it with a custom green led array that is a lot brighter. Hopefully i can create amber/yellow turn signals without having the Euro/JDM style lenses. Ill try to update with pics soon.
  14. how did you apply the coat inside the tank? did you pour it in there and move it around?
  15. Just found this product, it sounds really good. Im looking to restore gas tank. Its a product called "Rusteco R-200-3" (http://www.rusteco.com/details.htm) Has anyone used this product? whats your experience with it? Or what would you recommend for my specific job. Your feedback is really appreciated.
  16. Ill definitely will be using that nice little tool too. Thanks.
  17. Its barely beginning, but so far I've taken out most of the interior and started trying to line everything up on the body. This is my first project ever so I'm a little slow, hopefully my tools get in soon so i can pick up speed.

  18. Hello, I am also in Bakersfield. Have not worked on my Z in a while but started looking at the site again and saw you were located here. How is the work on your Z going?
