  1. man... i logged in after all this time hoping there would be some new posts about this car... hope all is going well gijonas.
  2. lol right on... i'm thinkin' about a 1UZ with the full rear out of one of the newer Tundras... should be an interesting build... maybe twin charge it... should go nicely with the 2JZ chevelle that's in the works... nice info, hopefully they'll come up with stuff like this for the 1UZ too!!!
  3. both of the S30s available in forza 2 are dubbed as Fairlady Zs
  4. i just completed a BRE clone, minus what's under the door glass it was too small for me to try at the moment, anyways! i've got it all set up to produce them a #46 BRE Fairlady free of charge to anyone who wants to gift me their Z Gamertag: Stolen Nametag. just send me a message on xbox if you'd like one. Forza 2 only, sorry guys...
  5. i would honestly go with the 260z as for the ac get the 260 system, two windows at sixty-miles an hour. yeah i know the wind can kill you either way, i did it in las vegas for years. which car is best for him requires a little more consideration... what does he want the car for? what is he planning to do with it, modification minded? he might want the 260z just for the price, with a friend who hangs around here:icon46:
  6. HAHA I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING!!! isn't the new SS based off a 1500? that looks more like a SSR or a custom elky...
  7. also; what kind of budget are you on, power levels, etc. they're all very important in an engine choice. i've found the best way to do it is lay out what i want from the engine, then lay out the parts it's going too take to make it happen, last check it with the budget. obviously not everything is going to mesh the way you'd like it too, but you can make your "sacrifices" at that point without risking messing up your entire build. just my 0.02
  8. JFC THANKS FOR THAT! couldn't go this year and i was pretty bummed, glad to see you went and took tons of pics THANKS!!!
  9. haha agreed x10 'sides it's more fun to build your own! op whatever you go with congrats, looking forward to the write up.
  10. llave is right from my memory when i was in school in fremont... an instructor of mine informed us that you can only swap a stock offered engine into the car. the kit and hobby cars are the only post 74 bypasses that i can think of in california... i could remember this wrong as well, but last i checked smog legality on a registered street vehicle in california is pretty tough to bypass.
  11. revival you say? interesting... Eugene, Oregon here. i actually signed in to make this post haha... been pretty hectic around here lately, nice to be shown yet again that the Z community is strong here in oregon.
  12. haha well.. uhm... yeah i don't think i actually thought of that part... then there's the small issue of my flawless grammar "can i'll" ...i need more sleep - .- hope all is going well with the project though!!
  13. great idea!!! how about gijonas... care to make some molds for those of us... smitten with the car's beauty? hell i'd buy a pair before i manage to get everything else prepped for the car!!! ok maybe not quite, but close! can i'll come over and help you get it all finished just to see the finished product -nudge nudge-
  14. i used 58cc chambers on an aluminum head with hyupertectic pistons (around 10.5:1 compression) a 208 / 221 degrees @ 0.050 lift lift cam in a standard 350 with forged rods and a billet crank... 2,500 stall with a TCI streetfighter 3spd auto trans and a 3.77 rear gear ... made a good 300+hp and 400+ ft/lbs when all was said and done... listen to theese guys recommendations. what you really should do first and foremost is lay out your build... block, crank, rods, pistons, heads, cam, intake, carb since they all work in combos. if you have the time and money build your car around the engine instead of building the engine around the car... alot of budgets don't allow it but your car will be alot happier on the street if built that way, i kinda learned that one the hard way with my chevelle... thus it sitting in the driveway flaunting it's mystery hole in the oil pan... but when you're four states away from your car it's kind-of hard too tear it apart eh? best of luck in your build. if you need any help with your car in general lemmie know since we're both proud owners of great chevys ^.-
