  1. Here's the one picture I have at the moment. Sorry for quality. Took this as soon as I got it home. I'll take more once I wash it up.
  2. Thanks for all of your input. I cleaned out the interior tonight and even for sitting outside for a year, it still has some shine in it. I did find some spots on the floorboards where it was rusted through, but I expected to find a few. I plan on welding in some new sheet metal. I haven't decided whether to just cut out and weld around where the holes are, or just weld in all new floorboards. The guy that owned it before the guy I got it from was an idiot with the car. The interior is spray painted different colors, and his wiring is horrible. I found so many loose wires under the dash today. Especially around the fuse box. Looks like I'll have to go over them all and figure it all out. I took a cellphone picture today. Can't seem to find my camera right now. Never can when you need it. haha. I'll post the pic in a sec.
  3. I was pretty surprised by the power in it. Hadn't been ran in a while, but was very responsive and didn't run very rough at all.
  4. I bought my 1970 240z today for $200. It does run. I drove it home. The main problem I'm trying to fix right now is the wiring. The key won't start the engine for some reason. We did find some stray wires in the bay down by the starter, just can't get them to hook up so it'll start up. The lights are all kinda screwy I think. One of the reverse lights won't go off. Plus, I was in the car tonight and noticed that when I pushed the brake, the interior light and dash lights would go on. I'm planning on getting it to the Local Z Specialist (Idaho Z) sometime this week so he can take a look. I really just want to be able to start it by key instead of having to do the crossover hotwire thing. I'm super excited, and hope to check out the body this weekend for rust and stuff. Looks pretty good. Not much surface rust. It is a pretty straight body. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow. Any opinions or questions welcomed. Thanks, Mauisnow13
  5. I have seen l28 bottom ends combined with l24 top ends to give the car te punch and the high revs. However, I was wondering if it is possible to keep the l24 top end combined with the l28et bottom. Is it the same? Is this better, or would it be best just to stick with the l28et top end? Also, is it as easy to swap in the turbo Z31 into a 240z as it is to swap in a l26 or l28? I haven't heard of anyone really doing much of these swaps. Thanks, I appreciate your help. Mauisnow13
  6. The JTR kit puts the oil pan too close to the road, which causes for severe problems along the way. Just watch for that, ESPECIALLY if your roads are like mine and have dips or awkwardly angled roads.
  7. Anybody know if this is a member on the forums? Thanks http://images.craigslist.org/01020301030401041020070903577b965d42c9752bc1009983.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/0102050103080104022007090394655c34f7d6419f6c007e92.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/0102100103040104012007090358461d87ffd573bd0e002cb8.jpg
  8. Hey, which air dam is this exactly. I know I can get it from Motorsport Auto, but when I go on there, I can't figure out exactly which dam it is. Are the clear lights on the sides something that was added onto the dam, or did it come with them? Thanks everyone, I'm not the best at distinguishing kits. Mauisnow13
  9. Ya, I think it is that one. If anyone else has another thought, go ahead and post. Thanks jmortensen
  10. I am not very familiar with kit types and found this one. Not sure if I like it or not yet, but was wondering which one it was so I could see some pics of it on some other cars. I searched kits for the 260z, but they all look similar and I couldn't distinguish this one from the others. I would really appreciate any help, Mauisnow13
  11. how much was your LS2? What is the average price of one?
  12. ya, i agree. I need to look it over really well. He said there is a little surface rust on the floor boards, and possibly a tad bit on the rockers. Other than that, he said there isn't really very much. I asked him to check to see if there was any in the wheel wells, he said he would check, so I'm waiting for a response. I'm gonna try to get pics of the rust that he knows is there. Definately needs vaccumed and wiped down on the inside, dusty and has pine needles on the floor, WTF? He said it cleans up nice, and that if I came to look at it, he would clean it up for me. Any other opinions? Thanks guys.
  13. Hey guys, I'm new to the forums, and just found this '73 240 with the Chevy 350 in it. What do you guys think? I know it's a project, but is it too much? The engine doesn't even have 25k on it, from what I'm told. Needs the tachometer, speedometer, temp guage hooked up. Also needs the heating/AC hooked up. Needs new seats, or at least covered. New taillight and side marker, and new rear bumper. Some of that can wait for a while. But what do you guys think, here's some pics. Kinda dirty sorry. I can prolly get the car for 2k, maybe less. I'm thinking about offering him 1k and seeing what he says. Thanks for all the help guys, Mauisnow13
