  1. I'm asking 1500 obo. I listed it at this cause I'm expecting people to talk me down of course so I listed it a bit high. I need the money to buy another car. I'd like to get it out so if they are interested, have them make me an offer. BTW, it's a 1970 240z. VIN HLS30-01542 #1542 built. really early production Z.
  2. It doesn't really have much. It has an L26 in it. 4 spd with short shifter. Wiring is about gone. I was planning on a l28et swap anyways so this didn't matter to me. The rust on the floorboards has already been repaired. Just has rust on battery tray and behind doglegs. Here's some exterior pics.
  3. Turbine powered z. Enough said. I guess it's a rolls royce engine used in helicopters and such. It is hooked up to the driveline. LINK: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=dtUdhkJvjZo&feature=related Wonder what the top speed and acceleration is like...
  4. I've decided to sell the car. I found a nice one over in Boise that I am going to buy so I'm going to need the money from this one. If anyone knows someone that wants a parts car or just another project Z, let them know.
  5. HAHAHA. The best part is at the end when he is looking at his truck with the tree on it, like he can't believe it happened.
  6. Why not just buy a 944 or RX7? haha. You can do chevy swaps in those too.
  7. The angle of that second shot is amazing. Makes the shape of the car really come out. love the car. and the shoes.
  8. ok. Thanks for all of your help everyone. Keep the opinions coming....
  9. OK. That is what I was thinking also. Well then, It seems my car is up for sale. What would be an appropriate price do you think? 1970 240z HLS30-01542 L26 Wiring issues Minimal rust Thoughts?
  10. definitely original. I like the 260 badge on the hood.
  11. I can't afford it to tell you the truth. I'm a junior in high school. I have a porsche 944 (in my sig) that i'm selling right now. My new daily driver will be a Metro most likely. 46 mpg! hells ya! hahaha The extra money will be saved for the Z.
  12. Really? The wiring is kinda screwed up in my car though so I dunno how much it's worth. The door panels are blue, the seats are red, and the rest is black. Plus the drivers side outer door handle doesn't work right. hahaha
  13. So I came upon a 1972 240z for sale in my area. It looks to be in great condition and he is asking just under 2k for the car. I may be able to get it for 1500 hopefully. I currently have a 1970 240z that I got for fairly cheap. It runs rough, body is rough. Here's some pics. I'm thinking about selling my car for like $500 after throwing some carpet in. Then get the other 240z and start that as my project. It would get me a lot easier of a restore and 72 is my favorite year. hahaha Here's the other car's ad. http://boise.craigslist.org/car/598687239.html Hopefully I'll test drive it tomorrow. What do you guys think? Sell mine and get it or stay on the project?
  14. I am not sure where I saw it, but there is a video with this whole thing on one. And it's not in front of the TV. It's the actual video. I can't seem to remember where it was. I know it's out there somewhere though.
  15. OMG. I can't believe he tried to call Darius's Z his own.
  16. that's about all i have too. but you have the engine i want! hahaha.
  17. The reason it has all the paint runs and all, is cause it was just spray painted. Not much attention to detail at all. New paint job is on the way. The rear quarters were supposedly custom i guess. The fiberglass is coming off so I'm trying to decide how to fix it or what I should do. Keep in mind, I'm not the best at bodywork. I could always try and find someone to help me, or see if a body shop would do it. I'm thinking i'll get subtle Z rear flares or something. I dunno. If there is anyone around the Boise area, and you know anything about bodywork, I'd LOVE some help. I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks, Amren
  18. Maybe it's about time for me to start investing in a subtle Z kit. I love the YZ but I don't know if I have the means to make it street able.
  19. I wish I had a shop. haha It's at my school. We have a welding class so I'm using their supplies.
  20. I'm not sure if this would look good or bad. I've never thought about it. It might be a little bit overkill. I'm interested in what it would look like also. Maybe we can get some Photoshop guys to help us out. (*hint*)
  21. I snapped a couple pics the other day of my Z. I have the interior torn apart at the moment. Rust repairs on floorboards are taking place. I haven't done all too much to the car, but I got some pics so I decided to post them up here. INTERIOR The white spots on the passengers side is just paper. Kinda looks like holes in the first pic though. haha EXTERIOR
  22. The rear fenders on my Z are supposedly fiberglass from what I've been told. They are beginning to come off of a little bar that makes up the shape of the fender. Here's some pics: I am not sure how i should go about fixing this problem. It needs to be cost effective. I was thinking about shaving the fiberglass off until I hit metal again, (a couple inches) then replacing it by welding in metal. I am not sure though. I don't know too much about bodywork. I'd appreciate any help. The driver's side door also sticks out at the bottom a bit. I am not sure if this is a problem with the fender or a problem with the door. Here's a pic, tell me what you think. I really appreciate all of your help. Thanks, Amren
  23. It's actually harder for me to type all weird than if I just use proper grammar and spelling. Plus, if I type something wrong or use bad grammar, it really irritates me.
  24. Personally, that dash doesn't really look very clean to me. Looks like a crappy cover or something. Maybe it's just me, but i'd prefer stock.
  25. The problem with the VG30dett swap is that it is not a bolt in. I'd like to stay away from engine mount modifications for now. Maybe later when I have more money and knowledge. The L28et swap is just so easy and cheap. It takes some time to find a good deal on a donor car, but once you do it's nice. Bolts in, strong engine, cheap. Plus I can use a 280zx wiring harness for the swap pretty easily. Which is good cause my car needs a new harness anyways.
