  1. Are you talking about stock springs and shocks? Or are you talking about which strut should you use 240z vs. 280z? Just trying to understand better.

You might want the 280z stub axles since they are stronger, as for reusing stock components... I would personally just use after market stuff unless you know the shocks and springs are fresh. Not sure if that was your question...

No im speaking about on msa. You can buy either springs for a 9/74-78 280z or springs for a 70-8/74 240z. I have a 8/74 260z. Its has a full 280z r200 rear end in it recently installed. What combination of struts and springs should i purchase? I have figured that because of the extra weight that i should buy both 280z struts and springs. Will this fit? Also, what is the difference between the arizona z car springs and struts vs the, say, springs and struts msa sells. Tokico illumina and eibach springs vs an arizona z car set up. Which provides better handling? Differences? Similarities?

  2. Driftn280zxt,

Love the drawing! Keep it coming!

Maybe you could post it in the main drawings thread I had going a while back?

It was rumored that this car was AWD because of the dyno it is on...

But if you look at the strut through the headlight hole and the centerline of the wheel it probably can't be AWD. stock strut?

Love the bodywork though. Brings some good ideas into play.

Also its probably a japanese car because the steering wheel is on the right side.

  3. haha idk if it would smoke a ferrari. id like to say yes but idk. Ill tell u. right now this thing is nasty fast and scares the ♥♥♥♥ out of me, and its still having computer issues (which will be solved this weekend, and ill possibly have dyno numbers as well.). so we will see once i get this thing dialed in. :icon54:

That will prob have to depend on the ferrari you race. You have a power to weight advantage even tho some might have a v12. But if your going with one of the lighter bigger engined ones.... hahhha gl. Did they tell you it was gonna be a RACE scene or did they just say it was a scene? mmhmm

  4. Hey wait a sec, when was that fast and furious' fault?

I'm not like a huge fan of the movies or anything, but the AE86 prices are nearly 100% caused by initial D, a huge spark of the current USA drift craze.

I'm hoping the wangan anime doesn't catch on. Could have the same effect on the S30.

Drift craze? sorta i guess. I would call it JDM craze. But fast and the furious has some fault in it... but not all.

  5. As long as they don't show people how to rice out a Z that would definitely be sweet!

but on the other hand, like mopar says...Its pretty darn hard to find a $250 dollar ae86 anymore... Don't want that to happen to Z's

I think it would be a good think to have s30's get alot more recognition. But as mopar was saying, it is gonna get more expensive. The s30's are already hard to find, with a new flair in popularity it could make them impossible to find, like a nissan skyline.
  6. My car is a 280ZX, but close enough...I actually think the S30 has more room to plumb an intercooler than the S130.

I designed my Intercooler on AutoCAD and had my buddy Corky Bell build it for me. Needless to say it is the largest intercooler I could squeeze in there and its designed specifcially for the nose of the car.

And I am using this spoiler:

    If that helps you any.

    Yasin

How much did it cost to have it made? Whats its efficiency?
