Wow what a pain in the back, sanding buffing sanding. Well all done for now ran out of time, so I'm calling quits on the paint job The car looks 85% better then last year. The car to me is a 5 foot car, got great shine, in the dark. The only reason I have been killing myself on this car for the past two months is because the city I live in (Everett Wa.) is having a cruise to Colby. Last year I entered and the car was half sanded and front airdam was not painted. This year new tires different grill, new wheels/tires, and the car shines or at lease a little, still need to buff more. The car is one color ! I have a question, I would still like to sand more of the orange peel out of the car but no time. Will it be alright to clean and wet sand after a month or two? I plan on just driving the car the rest of the year the way it is and mybe do a bit here and there so I'm not down from driving the car. Any thoughts? I need to do more painting to get better, so I think I will paint my bike to see if smaller is better. Still learning Oh almost forgot I did gost flames on my hood coming from my hood scoop, doesnt look to bad looks marblely/gost flames, cant see them till your almost on top of them. Had to share, I would right more but putting in words is hard to do some times. Enjoy drive safe and keep smiling Adam

Just got back from the truck scale and my came in at 2600 lbs. rear 1300 front 1300. gained 80 lbs. everyone is loosing weight I'm gaining. The difference from 9 months ago My new tires and rims weigh 52 lb, 17 lbs more then the ones I had on. Added more weight with the 1" front sway bar and 7/8" rear, didnt have rear. Added coil overs. I'm not looking for top hauling speed, just keep me on the ground . Adam

Hello, I marked one of the stud and marked the inside of the lug and came up with this, I get about .53" or 13.46mm engagement into the lug and the stud measures .465 or 11.811mm. counted the amount of turns and it came up with 8 threads/turns. Looked at the front and what a pain, I need to take it all apart to get the studs out. Also it looks that the front studs are shorter then the rear. Centerline state to engage 1 time the stud diameter. The torque state to be 75/85 ft. lbs. I'm running out of time and monies, 10 day to go to have on road. Any input? Thanks Adam

Owen, Thats right, only half through the open accorn lug. It really made me think twice about driving. I gone the wheels from Centerline and tires and lugs from discount tires. No spacers, 5" backspacing das280zx, 12mm of bolt showing? wow, not even. I will put picture up. Thanks adam

Hello, Need to jump in here. I just installed my new rims and noticed that the studs only go about 5 to 6 thread into the accorn lug nuts. How many threads are needed or safe? I'm in need of longer studs? The thread go about half the way. Any help would be great! Thanks Adam

Thanks freakypainter, I had the garage all clean and floor even wet, but when blowing the air, I hit a hole in the ceiling which I forgot about, oh well, first timer. I do know how to us a sander the car has been down to metal about 3 times. First time, real paint and lots of mistakes. I will not do again. If I burn or sand to the base I'm screwed, used pearl on the base. Hoping this would make easier to fix spots later, saved a quart of pearl mixed. fog a spot and hope not to show a spot. when is the soonest time I can sand runs? Thanks Again Adam

Help, I have started to paint my car again, this time with no help. The paint had lifted twice, fix that part but it was getting late and I wanted to get a shot of clear on the car before I went to bed, well when I was blowing the air out of the garage I had some sheet rock dust land on the car , not happy. So I went to bed. My question is can I shoot the car with more clear after I wet sand the crap out? The paint is a two part base coat, clear coat. Please advise. one thing after another all I want is it to shine and drive. Thanks Adam

All done, just finished the rear in 4 hours. Cutting the perch was a breeze. I used a cut-off tool from haror frieght, cut 4 slices, took a pair of pliers and wigled, came right off in 4 pieces. Then grind around the tube. Weld the collar on the tube, paint and reassemble. Bam! me got coil-overs waiting for the wheels!!. Will be adding pictures to photo section. OOps forgot 5 hours, pizza 1hour and 6ix beer, now movie and a nap. Its going together again. Adam -

Hello, Last year I did the swap of the R200, I now have 2000 mile on the tires. I'm in process of doing my coil over and when I removed my rear tires I noticed that the tread was wearing wierd, like toe-in/cupping? Has anyone had this problem and how do I fix? I must have set the R200 wrong. Where do I start on checking this? Getting new wheels and tire and dont want this to happen to them. Please advise Thanks Alot Adam
