I have read several limited negative comments regarding the robustness of the L28ET exhaust manifolds. I have read they warp, etc. While this may be true I need to understand the issue better. Can anyone help me in this regard?
This also sounds like the typical automotive industry OE product quality lacking that we all know so well. However, this does not mean that Nissan never fixed the issue with design changes. I am hoping that my limited knowledge of this issue can be corrected with model year specific information or casting number range information?
Please refer me to any good discussion threads regarding this issue. I have been searching for more information than I currently have since Friday evening and I am not finding much.
If I avoid the L28et hardware changes (i.e., w/300ZX water/oil cooled turbo) then I'll have to wait for one of the other L24 aftermarket turbo kits to show up on the used market.
