  4. it was adealer installed option the ones for the turbo 280zx was pretty common but if you have one that doesnt say turbo thats much more rare

  15. www.carfiche.com has complete nissan z manuals that you can download
  16. i used the 77 wiring harness a and computer on my turbo swap and it works perfectly other than a little rich around 3/4 throttle and up i just adjusted the 77 afm spring a little tighter to make upfor the turbo sucking the afm wide open too soon.i wouldnt trade my 77 turbo car for anything. i built a trubo waste gate controllerusing a standard pressure regulator set at 10 psi and used thestock blow off valve to make sure it doest overboost.i had to change out the oil pump drive and distributer to use the 77 distributer. i tried the using the 81 turbo wiring and computer but this way was so much simpler [/img]
  17. power is all in making it breathe and it is a 30yr old design but there is lots of room for improvement

  19. we did one pertty close to what your are building a couple of yrs a go,we had some pretty intense port work done .the boost controller set at 12 psi (be careful with more boost than this without really good rod prep shot peen and such and forged pistons)the cam was a custom grind from a local cam builder(used a 327 chevy cam profile for their fi motor) it made 320hp at the rear wheels but after a boost controller failure on track it kinda flew apart(28psi at throttle lift)it was quit spectactular i have pics of all the broken parts ; )
