Like I stated Above, If My Information Comes from the following Sources: FSM, FICHE, and the 79 Owners Manual. Not from another Person or Message forum or site. Directly From NISSAN. Unless I see Proof of this being incorrect I would Believe Nissan over what Anyone would say. I will also try to get Pictures Of one of these Transmissions when I Visit Roger at the Z Barn in July.

This Information Is Directly from the Factory Service manuals. The 4 speed was only available in 79. I am also scanning the FSM's and will be hosting them on my site for Download.

Still waiting on scanning it. It'll be the next one I do. I am currently working on the 79 s130 FSM. Even with my Book scanner It takes about a week to complete a FSM as I put the bookmarks and all In the PDF's.

Now If I can keep my scanners together. I've gone through 2 of them since I started this project. It takes me about 3 hours of scanning for an owners manual and it's only about 150 pages. Talk about Throw away junk. BTW, If anyone has any FSM's or other documentation they would like to donate to this project PM me and we will work out the details. I am willing to pay for the shipping.

Actually the carrier is the same but there are other differences. the one on the left came out of a Z32 and on the right a Z31. Note the different housings.

The Z32 diff is a short nose and is not compatable. you can use the z31 1984-1989 300zx R200 diff's as these are the long nose.

When the alternator goes out it can cause all kinds of strange things to happen on the Z31. The most common one being the dash lights coming on.

The manual rack was only offered on the SF model in Canada. It had manual windows and locks and steel wheels with hub caps. they are rare.

No that was Turbo/non turbo

Any turbo that has a T3 Flange can be made to fit. Just takes time and $$$ Some of us Z31 guys use the Holeset turbos from late DODGE trucks.
