  6. Well as you now know the Jatco Automatic Transmissions in the Z31 are very weak and are prone to failure if not well maintained and or abused in any way. I and well as most of the members here will tell you to swap it to a manual model as they are stronger and are more reliable. As for the Z32 transmission, it will not fit without some major modification.

  8. Let me clear this one up a bit. In japan the Z31 came as 5 different models with 4 different engines 200z = VG20ET 200zg =VG20ET 200zr = RB20DET 300zx = VG30E and VG30ET 300zr = VG30DE Also there were no 50th AEs sold but there are many copies there. the AU market did also get a 50th AE but it was not turbo and it was a 2+2 http://www.xenonz31.com/AE.html

  12. The engine mounts can be used. But Everything else will need to be custom. this including transmission mount as you will need the Z32 Transmission, all electrical wiring, Piping, fuel system, ect. For the money you spend on all that you can have a real nicely built VG30ET.

  14. The Blue stripe on the Zx-r was vinyl striping and not painted. I doubt you have a Zx-r. Sorry.
  15. The Digital compass was on the Digital Package from 84 to 86. In 87 the digital dash was redesigned and analog gauges replaced the compass and accel guage.

  18. toyota calipers work on the S30. Not 100% on the S130. If you go with the 87+ Z31 stuff then the Z32 calipers will work. Let me know how you progress. I would be more than happy to add a write-up on XenonS130 if you write one.

  20. Page EL-45 of the FSM will show you the linkage. Most likely the linkage came loose and you should be able to pop it back onto place. It's Not hard to do.

  22. The Reason I sad the cables were connected backwards is this is a very common thing. Otherwise there is a Dead short in that circuit causing the cables to get hot and the link to blow.
