I've searched and not found anything covering this subject. I want to know which would provide more down force - a whale tail spoiler or a wing. Have any of you used a wing? If yes which one? Hello! I may be the guy you were referring to. I'm working on my 240Z with the IMSA body panels and C-4 Vette suspension front and rear. Realize that my car has a tube chassis but I did not have to narrow the Vette stuff - I was able to order wheels with the correct off-set to fit well. The car is in the shop getting the interior panels and some other stuff but I'll be in there one day next week to work on it. Let me know if I can help you. Al Keller

Scott, I've been following this thread and have a question - I think I know the answer but wanted your thoughts. I'm still trying to understand to aerodynamics of our Z Cars. Why didn't you carry the belly pan forward of the front edge of the air dam? Thanks for sharing your project! Al Keller

Thanks for all the replys and suggestions. 1. The fenders came from Z Products. They have been out of business for a while. Talk to Brian at www.zccjdm.com He offers the same thing at a reasonable price and very high quality. 2. Bartman - where did those side vents come from? They look bigger than the Cobra side vents. 3. Capt Furious - I used the Cobra vents in the hood and was thinking about something a little larger for the fenders. Sort of like the ones on the Ferrari GTO replicas or .... Hello, I've searched everywhere that I can think of on Hybrid Z and found nothing. I'm thinking about vents in the front fenders to help vent engine compartment. Have any of you used them and do they make a difference? Is one type or location better than another. I'm already using vents in the hood. Thank you for your help. The company that made them is Z Products and, unfortunately,they went out of business years ago. They are basically pretty good but they will take hours to make them right!! Hello, I'll be finishing my Z pretty soon - if the stars align just right! For 2 yrs, I've been planning to use BFG g-force TA/KD tires based on research in magazines, etc - Grassroots Motorsports magazine did an article comparing different brands and types that rated these best with the possible exception of "in the wet" were I don't plan to be. Now, a lot of development has taken place in 2+ yrs and I don't know which tires to buy. The car will be used mostly on the street but there will be limited high speed track club events and autocross events. Your opinion would really be appreciated. Sizes will be 315 35 17 rear and 275 40 17 front. Thank you, Al

I have an un-used 3 piece IMSA spoiler that I have decided NOT to use on my Z. It is well made and rugged looking. Instead, I'm going to use a whale tail type spoiler. Possibly has one and we could work out a swap. Al al_keller@earthlink.net
