  1. I have used a Magneflow SS straight-through muffler with a 3" mandrel bent pipe from turbine outlet back. It has a relatively quiet, deep tone - perfect for me! This system flowed so much more than my old 2-1/2" system/Dynomax Turbo muffler that I have to get a bigger wastegate to control boost.
  2. The wastegate actuator is the dual port one that TEP sells. I have increased the length of the actuator arm so that there is minimum spring tension holding the swing valve shut, and still won't hold the boost down. One thing I will try is to decrease the arm length, but that seems to be tweeking in the wrong direction? This problem seems to be a case of not enough bypass flow.If this (arm shortening) doesn't help,I have decided to go to a Tubonetics Race Gate. I bought my turbo from TEP - Asked for a turbo sized to provide good response with respectable power - I don't know any specs - except that I have a "Super V" Compressor wheel. I like the response of a small turbine - But will definitely check Turbine A/R numbers while the turbo is off for manifold mods. (changed my sign ature to my log-in name) Thanks,
  3. I have an L28, T3/T4 w/internal wastegate,HKS EVC-EZ, 370cc injectors, Electromotive, that was pretty well dialed - in before I went to a monster larger Intercooler, 550 cc injectors, and 3" exhaust from turbo outlet to tailpipe. Now I can't control boost very well - looks as if it tries to hold at a 12-15 psi setting before ramping up to almost 20 psi. Others have told me I should have sufficient wastegate control as-is to handle my setup. I've checked hoses, etc, bypassed the EVC and it still acts the same. Is there something I've overlooked, or is it time for an external wastegate or bigger turbine housing? Thanks for any advice you can provide.
