  1. First of all, Awesome project Blakt Out. I have similar plans for mine but with a lower budget in mind. As far as the wheels go, have you looked into the Rota RB's? http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126343 I'm thinking of going with 17x8.5 in the back and 17x7.5 in the front once the right offset is available 0n the 17x7.5.
  2. I'm SO bookmarking that page for when I start my rust removal project
  3. Are you talking about the Civic or S2000 seats?
  4. Ok, these seats would not fit, they were too high and were hitting the headliner. Might fit if you mount them on the floor. Picked me up some S2000 seats, need to come up with a way to mount them though, probably will ask for ideas in a different thread
  5. Cool, thanks. I'm not in a hurry, well my bank account is not in a big hurry
  6. Me too, do you think they'll make them in that size though? I would love to run 7.5 in the front and 8.5 in the back
  7. Asking prices, I don't think any of those sold though (I maybe wrong, maybe 1 or 2 sold).
  8. Looks nice. I wonder what kind of seats those are?
  9. It is a blended in spoiler but I didn't do it, the previous owner had done a lot of "custom" work on the car.
  10. Here's pic of mine, I bought it this way.
  11. Wow, nice looking seats!! How much did you pay for them, if you don't mind me asking?
  12. Very nice!!! My Z's is also white and I was wondering what it would look like with the black fender flares. Got my answer, looks awesome
  13. Thanks for the replies guys. My 260 has some old school Recaro's in it, the bottom has pretty much fallen out and after driving for half an hour I start to get back pains (getting old I guess ) I picked up the Civic seats, they are in mint condition, probably 9.5/10 and they have the red stitching (I heard they were "desirable" to the civic guys). Paid $300 for the set, spend 2-3 hours last night sitting in them watching tv As for the 280 seats, the guy just wants to get rid of the parts car. I'll offer him $50 for the seats and have him send them via Greyhound. Ps, the seats are not dirty, the suede looks that way in the pic.
  14. I'm willing to do some work, but hopefully it doesn't involve too much work as I live in an apartment and don't really have a place to work on the car too much. On a side note, found these seats. Don't know if they're from a 240 or 280 (or are whether it makes a difference if they came from 240, 260 or 280)? The guy live about 250 miles from where I live. How much should I offer him?
  15. I guess I'll take a tape measure to the guys house and hope for the best
  16. -I used Tremclad, I believe the US equivalent of that is Rustoleom (sp?) -I chose white, my car was already white but in rough shape. -I'm not finished yet, but below is a pic I took of the roof just to see what it would look like polished. -I used brush and did it last. -Tips, prepare to spend LOTS of time on wet sanding and use lots of light when painting, my first few coats were in darker conditions and came out really bad.
  17. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has put Civic Si seats in their 260Z? I searched the forum but couldn't find if anyone has ever put these in. Would they fit? I really need new seats and can't seem to find S2000 seats for a decent price, so the Si seats are the next best thing. Thanks in advance. -D
  18. I used foam blocks, it worked better than just sand paper rolled. If you are considering doing it with rollers, be prepared to spend A LOT of time on wet sanding. I'm planning on spending around 15 man hours on the final wet sand.
  19. 1974 260Z Bought August 15, 2007 for $4,850. Came with: - 280z Non Turbo Motor - P30 Heads - Performance Cam, Pistons and Rods - MSD Spark Plug Wires and Distributor - Mukuni Triple Carbs - Monza Header with Downpipe - Aluminum Flywheel and Performance Clutch - Performance Front Sway Bar
  20. I'm painted my car using this method, haven't had the time to do the final wet sanding. I looks ok right now, I'm sure it'll look pretty good when I'm finished. This was within my budget and I had lots of free time to do it
  21. Nice project!!! Looking forward to seeing the finished product. BTW, who is Karim and how do I get a hold of him?
  22. Hey, Saw your car on Sunday at the Datsun show, looked pretty good. I started painting mine about a week ago. Still 2 coats left to apply. This method is cheap but be prepared to spend A LOT of time on sanding!!!!!
