  1. So my car is finally running with the rb26dett in it. I am running a bosche 044 fuel pump with stock lines, fuel rails, injectors, ecu, MAFs and fpr. While I'm under boost of just 9lbs my A/F ratio is lean around 14.7. I believe this is not safe and should be around mid 12's. Does anyone know what the stock A/F ratio of the RB26 and why its running lean? The only other mod that can change the A/F is the custom twin intakes.
  2. Nice find but I think everyone on this forum use the ground control coilovers. If these are 100% bolt on and require no welding then it is a great option for me.
  3. Does anyone know of where I can buy a new starter and alternator for a RB26? Are there any state side parts that are interchangeable? My swap is almost done but my starter and alternator are bad. They were tested at autozone and failed. Thanks, James
  4. Sorry to hijack but are the Gt2871r-10 with internal wastegates bolt on for the stock intake and exhaust plumbing?
  5. Beautiful car...Now finish mine...lol...I met you a couple weeks ago at the shop and all I can say is that I am totally impressed by your work. Your GTR manifolds kept me smiling all the way home. When you described your car I didn't realize it was this amazing. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
  6. has not set their status

  7. Finally bought the mag and all I can say is congrats.
  8. Well I have almost everything finished and I am running all autometer cobalt gauges. Does anyone know the ohms range of the stock datsun fuel gauge? Thanks, James
  9. I am seriously considering purchasing the SSR Professor SP1 in flat black with polished lip. The sizes I want are 17X7.5 +0 offset for the front and 17X8.5 +0 in the rear. Do you guys think this will be a good fitment. I want the staggered look and 17X7.5 shouldn't rub the inner lower lip in the fronts. Many members are running rota rb's with 17X8.5 +4 offset in the back with no problems. These are really expensive wheels so I don't want to be unsatisfied with the fittment after purchasing them. The other option is 17X7 +6 for the front and 17X8 +3 in the rear. I have a datsun 280z with tokico lowering springs and shocks and AZC 13inch BBK. http://www.ssr-wheels.com/wheels/sp1_17181920.asp Thanks, James
  10. Thanks for the reply. I had my 350z tuned at boost logic from Justin. I also bought a car from SW about a year ago. I didn't know if they did this kind of work. I assumed it was all supra based work. I will try them out.
  11. I have shoe horned the RB26dett with RB25det trans with all the Mckinney mounts, driveshaft, wiring harness, intercooler, exhaust and just ordered the radiator. I am looking for a shop to finish the wiring, mount all new gauges and get her started. I am very busy and would like to start driving. Anyone know and trust a shop in the Central Texas area that I should take it to. Thanks, James
  12. I have not seen that one. The mckinney unit is expensive as all there products are but for me anything that saves me time and headaches is worth the money.
  13. I shortened it. I can't believe I couldn't figure it out in the beginning. Thanks.
  14. Anyone have the mckinney throttle cable and bracket? I purchased it and without installation instructions. It comes with 36" cable and bracket that mounts to the firewall and an attachment that mounts to the bell crank. Without the ability to shorten the cable it just seems way too long and I can't get it to work. Thanks, James NVM- figured it out thanks
  15. Contact Mckinney motorsports and they can create you a stand alone wiring harness with just the RB engine harness.
  16. Ohh and its a R34 valve cover name plate. The name plate on the R34 is different from the R33.
  17. Thanks for the support. The valve covers were powder coated candy apple red. I finally installed the driveshaft and the downpipes and exhaust will be later this week.
  18. I just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the support. I finally got her shoehorned in with the engine and tranny mounts. Now the long road of connecting all the loose ends. I have attached pics in my photobucket. Thanks, James
  19. Most of my vacuum hardlines were smashed during engine transport so I will not be using them. I have read that intake manifold on RB26 is not under vacuum. Can someone show me a great vacuum point I can run to my wastegates/boost controller? Thanks, James
  20. That is great and it saves me some money!
  21. I may be mistaken and chances are highly that I am. But don't you need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator while running an aftermarket fuel pump? I thought you need one unless your fuel pump runs at the same lph as the stock unit would have.
  22. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I was at that stage of my build....this thing is taking forever....no power tools and all by myself.
  23. Thanks for the reply. I kinda figured that out but wanted to be sure. The Mckinney mounts come with the isolators. Thanks, James
  24. What bolt holes did you use to mount the tranny mount to the underbody? I don't have any pretapped holes to mount the tranny mount to. I looked at your pics and the position where your mount kit is has no holes on my car. Did you have to drill and tap a mounting point?
  25. I purchased the mckinney tranny mount and realized it won't bolt onto the body where the stock tranny mounts are. I have searched this website and most pics are for 240z's. There are no bolt holes for the tranny mount to mount to. Does anyone have any advice who have done this swap before? Thanks, James
