  1. Found187 let me know how your wheel search goes. I like the modern no lip concave wheel look. I just don't want to be the guinie pig trying it out. Keep me updated! Thanks, James
  2. Well guys I need some advice about some wheel sizes. I don't want to zg flare the car but the rear fenders are rolled. I plan on getting the arizonazcar 4 wheel wilwood brake kit with 5 stud hub. The wheels I am dieing to get are work emotion 17X8 with 25mm offset in front and 17X9 with 17mm in rear. Whats the posibility that these will fit? I don't have coilovers just the tokico spring/shock combo...so im guessing i will need coilovers also. Thanks, James
  3. That radiator looks to be a great option. It is the one that I was referring to in the post above. It states its for the 260z but it is the same exact radiator as the ones for the 280z. If you buy it let me know how it works out. I still have to do some more things till I decide which radiator to use. Thanks, James
  4. Thanks for the quick reply. I don't have the resources to fabricate mounts for the radiator. I guess I should have stated that in my first post. I am looking for a direct bolt in radiator. I love the mckinney unit from the pics on thier website but the price is rediculous. I have several units on ebay that are aluminum 3 row units that are bolt on but I am always wiery of ebay items. Thanks, James
  5. Are the 240z and 280z aluminum radiators the same. I have been looking to buy a new 3 core aluminum radiator but most that i find are only for the 240z. Thanks, James
  6. Mark, I just had Justin retune my 350z and we started talking about my datsun project and he told me he just tuned your car. I told him you were the inspiration for my build. Its a small world! Car looks great...keep it up.
  7. Does anyone know if the 10.5lb jgy flywheel have alot of chatter. I wouldn't buy a real light flywheel do to the drivetrain chatter. It is real annoying!
  8. Thanks for all the replies and they clear things up. Mike, your website rocks....really motivates me to get in my garage and finish things up.
  9. I have the rb20 rear sump oil pan fitted to my rb26dett and have noticed a hole on the side and bottom. I know the bottom is for the oil drain plug but is the one on the side for a vent? If so, does anyone know the part number for this vent/plug so I can purchase it. Thanks, James
  10. RB26 motors with the all wheel drive trannys go for about 4k. You will still have to get the RB25 tranny, modify the oil pan and so on. I think the RB26 motor is the most inflated priced engine you can buy. Even the 2jz with tranny goes for about 2k.
  11. If I purchase a stock resistor box is it a plug and play thing? I see them on sale on ebay all the time for around 50.00. I haven't wired my rb yet (not that far into the swap). So there is a plug on the stock wiring harness for the resister box?
  12. Will a RB25 flywheel and push type RB25 clutch work? In a post above it states a RB26 flywheel is needed. I was under the asumption that it just take the everyday aftermarket rb25 clutch/flywheel.
  13. RIPS- that sounds good and just e-mail me the price and put it in the box with the pan. James
  14. So are you saying a nissan patrol oil pan and pickup will bolt right up and be a rear sump that fits a rb26? If thats true "damn"!
  15. I tried that part number at the local parts dealer and the nissan websites but "part not available" comes up. Thanks for looking it up. -RIPZ can you please find me a set and send it with the oil pan and sump. Just e-mail me the price and i'll paypal you. Once again thanks!
  16. I had my hard boost tubes that say Twin turbo powder coated and now I need the "turbo charger outlet gasket". This is the gasket that fits in between the turbo outlet and the hard boost tubes that lead to the intercooler. I can only find whole rebuild gasket kits or random misc. gaskets but not these. I cross referenced the part number on another forum but the nissan sites claim its an invalid number. Thanks
  17. Thank you all for the quick replies. This forum is the best!
  18. I have no experience or the ability to weld. All the shops in this area want the motor in their shop to do the work. I want to put the motor in myself so that is the reason I need someone to make me a pickup. If anyone is interested in making one for some money (name your price) and hopefully we can work out a deal.
  19. Well I tried to purchase the z31 oil pickup with rear sump pan for my RB26 build with no luck. I was able to get the oil pan with no problems but it seems that the pick up is discontinued and not in stock anywhere. None of the shops in my area will make me a pickup to fit the pan so I'm stuck. Here is what I am willing to do. If anyone can make me an oil pickup that fits the RB26dett with the rear sump pan I will paypal you 400.00 U.S. dollars. As you can tell I am fishing for an answer to my problem. Thanks, James
  20. I hope I don't get bashed on this forum for saying this but I would not go with a RB20det for $2100.00. I have seen numerous RB25det complete swaps on legit jdm motor sites for $1900.00 to $2100.00. I feel it would be a better swap but it is my own opinion.
  21. Where is your shop located at? Very impressive work!
  22. What do the two hard pipes that are connected to the ACC and are routed to the rear of the manifold and face up? I can't find what they are connected to in my 32 manuel. The other vacuum lines connect to the manifold and air chamber but these 2 are loners and are not connected to anything I can see. Thanks, James
  23. Your thread is the reason I have started mine early. Thank you for taking the time to do it. Best of luck on the project.
  24. I posted this question on other forums and everyone has stated that when they have removed the AAC or if it was unplugged that they all had idle problems. The only ones that have answered were all related to the RB20 though.
  25. LOL...Ontario standards! I live in Texas so anything below 60 degrees is bone chilling to me. If I can remove all the not needed parts before dropping the motor in without any side effects would be nice.
