  1. Im down for a group buy! Maybe even the front air dam also
  2. Dude THAT is freakin sexy. I would buy one if you made them! Group buy?..!! lol
  3. I'd say anything over 205. Here in texas we get hot weather all the time. My car has never gone over 205. Even on hot days i usually run 180.
  4. yea i was just wondering how it would run on full duty cycle. Well...i don't know what else to say? I really think its a fuel problem. Possibly spark. That being said its time for me to take the hat off and step back for someone with some more knowledge than i have.
  5. its on the side of the block where the battery is. i think its under the second and third spark plug i believe, about six inches below or so. Its a sensor plugged into the block. you can't miss it. remember turn your car on first, or else it won't start if you disconnect the sensor.
  6. idk man. mine used to do that, but its something that came and went. i did a tune-up one day, changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, never happened since. but i know exactly what you are talking about. I really think its a fuel/ spark problem. this sounds dumb but i want you to try it and tell me what happens. turn your car on, and then disconnect the connection to the head temp sensor, that should send a signal to the ECU to make the fuel injectors to maximum duty cycle. then rev the engine and see how it runs. In theory it should run like crap, but in your case it may just work.
  7. Im willing to bet its backfiring through the intake. Am i right?
  8. My zx used to do the same thing, and i know its a common problem. I would try checking your spark plugs, wires, connection to the ECU and injectors. Maybe use a fuel injector cleaner. Try replacing the cap and rotor. Since its been still i would put my guess on an electrical problem. Also check the head temp sensor! I'll try to find you the ohm readings, im sure someone on here has them though. Hope that helps!
  9. Doesn't a turbo charger help gas mileage as long as the engine is not under boost?
  10. Yes everyone prosport are NOT defi. Just "defi" style? If i can say that. But they are very good.
  11. Where do yall go to school? Im an Aerospace student at the University of Texas at Arlington. Any advice? I'm just about to finish up my first year, and have taken a beat down by my classes..but i'm making it through. I've got chem1, physics 1, cal 1, english 1, physics II, cal II, Statics (MAYBE), english II. I study so much but its still a beast.
  12. Yeah i liked them so much i bought some. My friend put them in his subaru and they are awesome. I haven't put mine in yet. I will soon though. Go on youtube and type in prosport gauges. There's quite a bit of videos on them.
  13. These are Defi style guages. They're pretty good i've seen them in person. http://www.prosportgauges.com
  14. I was driving home one night and i saw this mustang saleen gt with "I EAT RICE" on his rear windshield. When i pulled up next to him at the light he was like nice "ricer". Obviously Z people hate that. Especially when my S130 looks stock! Well anywho he revvs his engine with a smile. So i revv mine, the turbo spools, the blow off valve whistles... And the smirk on his face just fades away.... He rolles up his window and that was the end of that. He probably would have smoked me.....THEN. But its the principle of the matter you know!
  15. Sounds like a load of BS to me. "Estimated" 600 hp? Idk.
  16. Go to Oreilly's ( Sorry im biased ) or Autzone or whatever... And they sell a circuit tester, it looks like a screwdriver but it has a light built in. What you do is ground the wire attached to it, and touch the tip of the "screwdriver" against a wire, if there's power the screwdriver will light up. That's what i did anyway! Hope that helps
  17. That way you can see if its too lean/rich.....good idea. Im not too sure if the problem is the afm.....im thinking an electrical problem somewhere? And you've made sure you don't have any vacuum leaks right?
  18. there should be a screw under the afm that will allow you to adjust. Here's a good link to show you how. http://www.geocities.com/jfairladyz/AFMrebuild.html?1144191577198
  19. There ya go gollum gives a perfect example! You may need to adjust your afm.
  20. In a rough answer, it means that sometimes the afm reads to much air/to little (i believe, woldson correct me if im wrong) and your ECU cuts fuel. Fuel Cut Off is what i believe its called. I've usually heard of that happening to people who intercool and jack up boost to about 13-15 psi. Then the afm needs to be adjusted. But you have a NA so that doesn't matter.
  21. Yeah, if the head temp sensor isn't connected the car won't start. Its on the right side of the engine it almost looks like a water temp sensor. It should be screwed into the head.
  22. Check for spark, make sure your plug wires are in the correct order, i know you just bought them, but make sure your injectors are flowing the right amount. All you really need is fuel, compression, and spark! Start with that first.
  23. I mocked up these Reverse Glow Gauges in a spare speedometer housing. They look pretty good. Haven't wired them up yet. I'll put them in this weekend and have some pics up. I guess i'm gonna have to spray the needles with glow paint!
