  1. Let me see. I used to have the triple setup with Solex Mikunis 44s. The original fuel system on my 260 was a return type system so I just plugged into that. I also have ran dead head but it sucks if you use too much pressure. Gas will pour out of your carbs onto your headers and WILL cause a fire (I know). Change the fitting on the last carb to flow thru and run a line back to the tank that should already be there! Just my 2 cents...

I think I ran like 5.5 or 6 PSI on those. You can test them by starting at 5 and watching the bells to make sure no gas comes out and also by bogging/starving upon acceleration etc. If it cuts out youll know your starving for fuel...adjust accordingly in .5 degree settings...

  2. OOHH FRIGGIN RAHHH!!!!! Semper Fi...I am finally retired and it feels good and feels bad. I really miss it and the structure. It also says I am growing older and that my days are numbered. Life is grand and sad at the same time. Like the Matrix says "The purpose of life is to die". All beginnings have an end......Im just glad I had the opportunity to be a part of such a great team and own a Z of coarse! Thank goodness for Hybridz....Im in debt to you all for your hospitality and support....Happy Birthday Marines.....never quit and always do your very best at everything you do......Semper Fi!!!!!

  3. OK, Im buying the Aston and then cutting the front light assy and molding in my 240 Z buckets and putting the covers on. That would be sweet....

  4. Zero, I had a 74 260 4 seater (see my site) with headers and triple Mikunis with MSD, 5 speed, 3:54 rear stock internals bored to 2.9 Liter and ran 14.55 at 95+ MPH. It was a long time ago...in Carlsbad California. Before I built my current 350, my 2 seater ran a 13.7 at 99MPH on the stock 350 with headers and a Holley 650 VAC secondary....however I have fixed that problem!! Can't wait to run in the spring....must have new tranny as well.... :D

  5. Guys I found two part numbers an 8 1/2 inch booster for a 78 280Z #53-5104 from AutoZone and a 10 inch booster #53-5065. I am upgrading from the 240Z unit to this. My question is does the 280 Brake Booster have the same 4 studs coming out the front like the smaller 240 unit does that will be a direct bolt on to the 240 master Cylinder? They are the same right? Pete you out there? Any one else done this swap? PLease advise...

  6. Mike, I specifically told AFR What cam and setup I was building (just like the one on thier site). He said the springs out of the box were fine for that build. I paid $1250 for the heads ported etc out of the box and $140 for match porting the AFR intake I got with it seperate $195 I think plus shipping. I bought directly from AFR. It was a patience game because they said they had to make them but I am happy with them. No problems at all yet except that damn 700R4 shifting woes....like your old one was.
