Light covers that is....

Just a note, if you buy these covers from MSA, they are a PITA to put on correctly. I only decided to use two of the three anchors because of the hard time I had. Maybe later Ill put the other one on. What a trip...

Ohaiyo Gozaimasu from Okinawa. Im putting the wiring back in and have gotten stumped on connecting the plugs on the passenger side under the glove box on the right panel. The big colored plugs are obvious but I have a few small ones that I want to make sure are correct. Does anyone have a pic of the harness plugging into the relay panel? I have a 73 240. Any help is useful. Also, the 3 wires that plug into the relay for the signal lights 2 green and 1 green/red. I assume the g/r wire goes in the middle and the other two green go on either side. Is that right? Its the relay at the top with the three single wire inputs on the side of the l plug for the flasher relay. Am I making sense? I hate electrical stuff...thanks in advance....

Oh yeah, I would be willing to bet it came from the rain pan. You can poor water into the rain pan (have someone do it) and look under the dash and watch for leakage. It used to drive me crazy until I found out the rain pan was rusted in spots. I got some .5MM galvanized sheet metal and used a cutter to cut and shape pieces to over lap the entire under belly of the rain pan. You have to remove the dash. I rivited them on with silicon in between. I also blocked off the upper opening of the rain pan to stop excess water from getting in and then finally siliconed a sheet of heavy plastic over the opening where the windshield wiper goes to totally seal top and bottom. Overkill? Maybe...but no more wet carpets. Check out my site to see the upper rain pan closure...

Well guys, I almost have everything for my engine build. I called Summit last night and they wont send me engine lube or the tube of teflon headbolt sealer stuff because of shipping overseas. My question is.....
Can someone get me a tube of engine assembly lube and a tube of the teflon headbolt sealer and send it to me PRIORITY if I Pay with PayPal? I will pay this second if anyone can do it. It should only be about $10 for both, then shipping in a small yellow envelope with the bubble wrap another $5 at most. You can just put ASSEMBLY TEFLON on the customs paper.
If anyone can help, it will be immensely appreciated. Just let me know. I know someone lives near an autozone or PepBoys etc! Just not me! LOL.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys for all the help. I understand much better now. I ordered the CompCam adjustable for $25.00. Yes I did deck the block about 1 mm. I have the retrofit setup for a SBVC350 so it may be different. The damn lifters were different and cost me over $400 bucks! The rods are the last thing I need...I GOT MY CAR BACK TODAY!!!! Man am I stoked just to see it parked out back. I spent all day putting in the new door and window seals, the lights, mirrors, and fitting the roll bar...cant wait till next weekend...engine should be done by the end of this month....
Till next time!

When I install the lifters, does the bar connecting the two lifters face upward to the sky or down towards the block when inserting?

HEy guys I have finally got all my parts ordered and car home...except for the push rods. The Summit guy told me that I need to measure for pushrod length. I have no way of doing that. Here is the setup:
1975 SBC 350 retrofitted with the Comp Cams XR282HR-10 and roller lifters and full roller rockers 3/8 in studs. I have a 3.48 standard stroke with 5.7 rods. Does anyone know what length pushrods I need would be?
Grumpy could you help?
Thanks in advance.....

Check out my Dam on the photo section under CorZette. That is an MSA DAm slightly modified. It is stretched out about 4 inches to line up with the over fender. I will be putting in a grill later.

OK, I will be in Texas and my Z will see some street driving. Do you guys think I will get more HP and Torque from a HP750 DP or the 750DP 4779? I read the posts on performance but is another $300 really worth a couple of HP? By the way how much more HP can you expect from the two carbs? I am running the 450HP build from the AirFlowResearch Site for the 355 SBC with the AFR 190s and XR282 Roller assembly. My specs are the same as that build. That build says the 4779 should be used and they make 450HP. By using the HP750DP do you think the HP would increase lets say 20HP or so? Any input is appreciated as I only want to make one purchase and trust everyone's experience on the matter.

Read this about management. Its good stuff, I live by it. I have a degree in management and one in public relations. People have to feel like a part of the vision, not just a customer or employee. You should focus on giving a balance of 1/3 to customer, 1/3 to employee and 1/3 to management. They are all equally important. The command and control days are over. Well maybe not for the military but you know what I mean. I have been in management for 22 years as a Marine and learned one thing if not more, and that is you have to inspire first and foremost. People should says things like "Man I wish I was that guy/gal, or "Those guys are locked on and really give a Damn about me as a customer". Me and my wife got involved with Herbalife 6 years ago and have amassed a fortune on people's results with weight loss and health etc. My favorite saying is " I don't want your money, I want your results". Its the results that make you successful. You can apply that to any business. The question is, what results will make a difference in your field. Just food for thought. I have the utmost repect for Entrepreneurs because we make the world go round. Never stop dreaming or being creative. I have sent you a great article by Michael Hammer that explains Control and Complexity. You must have a Business Plan first as well. Don't make the mistake I initially did. If you know where you wanna go but don't plan on how to get there, you may never find your way. Ever hear of "Lost in Space" lol. Im just here to help. Enjoy.

That gasket is part# 375-1094 Embossed shim out of Jegs (Felpro)...would that work? That is a head gasket and not just a shim right?

Grumpy, I found a gasket that is .015 compressed and has a bore of 4.100. Plugging into the chart gives me a 8.11 SCR. Provided my valves dont hit the pistons, is .015 quench OK?
