Look at my parts for sale thread it might be hurried but its titled 240s/260z parts long list. I have a rear for sale its not perfect but a good start pm to work something out.

I'm not in los Angeles (located in nor cal) but I have a complete n42 head cam down to the rockers. Thermastat housing bolts broke so the housing needs to be drilled out all others came out without incident. Somewhere around 150kmiles not sure if its been rebuilt previously

Damn that sucks about the getting ripped off. My buddy can make you a fuel rail. It looks like the one in my picture. Hes a standup guy no bs you will get a product from him. He can do a cold start valve tap or leave it out .

Yaa I think your over analysing the motor. It's almost 30yrs old it's not comparable too quite modern engines. They all have some sort of ticking going on it sounds like your doing good maintenance that's all you can really do

Yaa shipping will be at least 500 dollars if not more way more. I wanted to ship a hood from AZ to Cali was quoted 700 dollars pure BS usps is doing these days

I have a really clean Gen 2 240z bumper located in nor cal. It doesn't work with my 810

Replace all fuel injector/ fuel management connector with the newer style plugs found on newer vw jettas etc. My 78 810 had a bad stuttered around 2:5k changed those and feels like a different engine. also you might wanna look at the thermostat and the sensors in that area while your at it.
