  1. lol, it's so weird. i blogged about that car the same day as mayday garage posted their article up. i used my information/pictures off of his for sale thread on houston-imports though. i actually like the exposed fuel cell. while it doesn't "flow" with the body lines, it hints at what the car must be capable of.
  2. anyone have an idea as to how hard would it be to have a machine shop make some of those serial9 style adapters in steel? ideas of the cost and turnaround time?
  3. YES PLEASE DO! i wanna see some pictures of the final product.
  4. where did you get the perches from? would these work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Weld-On-Steel-Perches-for-Adjustable-Coilover-Assembly_W0QQitemZ380180978170QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item58848d59fa#ht_693wt_1068
  5. i was just about to attempt something like this... i was thinking of welding on the serialnine weld on strut tubes and then just threading on a set of coilovers, but those things are expensive ($260/pair). http://www.serialnine.com/index.php?cPath=104 your way is MUCH cheaper. lol. good thing i don't have to be the guinea pig. lol.
  6. i'm gonna be chopping and welding my struts for coilovers and want a spare pair of rear struts in case something goes wrong *crosses fingers*. must be willing to ship to hawaii (96813)! thanks! lance
  7. Oh, I just meant that a new banjo fitting and idle mixture screw was needed. To be honest, I'm not to familiar with these. My friend was supposed to teach me how to rebuild and tune it, so I think other than those things it's complete... I'll take more pictures of everything tomorrow and send them to you so you can decide what it needs.

  8. yup, diamond racing wheels are pretty sick... besides zilvia, i always check nicoclub, club4ag, infinitwheels and rbmotoring.
  9. Hello,

I am interested in the Weber DCOE 40's you have listed for sale. I have a couple questions. You mention that a few components are missing, do you know specifically what pieces are missing? Also, if I am seeing the picture correctly is it the end of the banjo fitting that is broken off?

    Thanks,

  11. very nice job! i need to take the time to start painting/restoring my suspension parts. i absolutely love it when people take the time to work on details that no one sees. as long as you know it's there, it's such a great feeling. keep up the good work!
  12. shika, any pics of your car sitting on the ground? i wanna see what 3.5 inch drop looks like.
  13. i'd buy it for the dash. crack free dashes go for $500+.
  14. PO didn't put the retaining nut to lock down the steering wheel. almost came out on my lap while i was driving.
  15. WOWWW THAT THING IS SICKKKK!!! we gotta go cruising so i can check that thing out in person! 11 inch wide rims! dzus fasteners! asklfdjhkljhewlfhewiohfioewjfskld!!! that's insane.
  16. thanks for the quick reply! this is why i <3 the internet.
  17. i was driving tonight and when i did a head check, the steering wheel nearly fell into my lap! i guess the last guy forgot to put the nut back on to lock the steering wheel to the steering shaft. so anyone know what size it is? i checked my service manuals and searched the forum, but found nothing... it's the nut that would go right behind the horn button. i got a cuise to run on sunday, so i really need to be able to drive my z! thanks!
  18. sorry for being so vague.. it was at night time and we were driving around for a good 20 minutes or so. my pos terminal is facing away from the engine. after i looked at the inspection panel, it looks like the terminal may have touched the metal. i've gotta double check though.
  19. so we were driving around in my z (73 240z, L28 swapped with roundtop SU's) and the battery area sparks up and the car dies. upon lifting the hood, the inspection panel got fried (paint was burned, hinge broke), and the ground wire coming off the battery cable was burned (plastic burned and wire broken). researching online, it seems as though i need to clean my grounds and make sure i have good contact. also, people were talking about needing to rebuild the starter (?). is this the right direction for me to take? what would cause this issue? i was driving around for a good 30 minutes with no problems before this happened.
  20. anyone got one for sale? shipped to hawaii 96813?
  21. wow if you think the 08 zzr isn't very upright your neck and arms would kill you on the new zx6r or any other supersport. i loved my 01 zx6r (the new zzr's) and when i got my 06 zx6r, the position was killer... try checking out kawiforusms.com plenty of helpful people there. best kawi community imo..
  22. i'm trying to put together a old school jdm/j-tin/nostalgic/rust bucket meet up. sunday, oct 12... specific time and location has not been decided yet. post or pm if you're interested!
