Any idea what the Astro transmission goes for? Stopped into Summit the other day and they sell brand new "Mustang" T5s for around $1700. After speaking with those guys, and a friend who works for Ford Performance, they both seem to think the new trans will hold up just fine if you're not drag racing (and I'm not).

So basically that information is useless and I need a 5.0 or V6 transmission.

Are you saying those early mod motors only came in a Crown Vic? And thanks for the info. I'm just looking for something newer that will fit.

Or better yet, if someone knows a production date on this.

Has anyone used one of the newer V6 5 speeds? Or know if the late 90s T45 or early 2000s TR-3650 will bolt up? Also curious about the 2011+ Getrag MT82 since it's remote shifter might be the fix for all the "shifter too far forward" woes.

Always. It will run a lot cooler isolated from the radiator.
