  1. i have that same turbo and have no clue what its called. like a gt2871 or disco potato? someone chime in!
  2. price cause i'm in the market! consider it sold. email me at usmcgetsome@yahoo.com
  3. great products and information. You'll be seeing my business soon! Thanks for making these products known and available for the younger rb installers. Now just sticky this thread!
  4. i know your not gonna go crazy on restoring but plz take care of the rust. You got a nice motor and even that needs some attention. It doesn't take much to clean it up.
  5. those are some sweet looking mounts. You should think about making another set and selling them. I'd buy em!
  6. i wish the rb26 guys would chime in. From what i remember it's a direct bolt on. Verify it by checking it's flange size such as t28 or t3. Anyhow, they pump out good air for the 26 in twin application. If you did it single turbo app. it wouldn't do much for you at all. Very reliable turbo. It is if i'm correct the silvia s15 turbo as you stated. do an ebay search and get more info about it. Normally people tend to go big single turbo and manifold. Allows more room and more power but can be laggy if you don't check your compressor maps.
  7. look into the GARRETT GT28RS in twin application. That is the most popular upgrade turbo.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__CXRacing-Radiator-SKYLINE-89-93-MANUAL-ENGINE-ALUMINUM_W0QQitemZ230298005593QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230298005593&_trkparms=72%3A543%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245#ht_4959wt_0 jake check the dimensions. Also, if you send them the dimensions you would like i'm sure they have something that would fit. You'd just have to make some little brackets to hold it in. some 1/8-1/4 steel with some bolts and nuts or welded in spot will do the trick. PLEASE DO NOT USE THAT RADIATOR. This is the radiator i'm currently using in my s13 chasis. it's a little tall but it fits nicely and had taken care of my overheating probs with my rb25 as well as an external oil cooler. My rb25det was budget. Most of my stuff is from ebay and i don't regret it. Some new and some used.
  9. what clutch is it from a Z32 or a skyline? rb25det or rb26dett or rb20?
  10. bro what are you doing! The radiator is the most important part of the motor. It keeps it cool. I'm not sure if that old radiator will still be in good enough condition internally to keep up it's end of the bargain. Look on ebay for a cx racing radiator. About 150-200 for the radiator. They have some that might do the job.
  11. i saw on your last video you talked about getting the rb25det. and changing chasis. You've done too much work to get rid of that 280z. Besides, i see your car as being a muscle car. I can not even compare my s13 chasis that s30 chasis. Keep your head up phill! besides you already have most of the supporting mods to put in an rb25det. lol.
  12. just a lil fyi for some of you guys. Most of the newer members that own rb series pull off the coil pack cover or vent them for air flow. This is due the the coil packs overheating and getting cracks in them and causing arcing of the head area. Want more info you'll have to search on other forums.
  13. it comes with a box that plugs into the power fc unit and it has software to tune the fc unit. Seems as if everyone enjoys it. A little pricey though. do you need the website? I think you can look on their forum for information.
  14. no hold on gents. There are many rb26 trannys collecting dust at jdm engine shippers warehouses and also the people who buy rb26dett clips and so on. They simply collect dust because no one wants to use them. people use the rb25det tranny as it is an easier way to assemble the swap quicker without more modifications. Just like the oil pan issue. Ask anyone off this forum thats done an rb26 swap. They have the trannys in the garage. lol.
  15. swe hey brother. Ever think about getting that grill anodized gunmetal or black. That would make it look awesome. Just a suggestion.
  16. look in the body kit paint forum. You'll see the usual areas of rusted through metal. rails to hatch to floor pans and battery trays. Have a look at one of those and then you'll understand how much your really getting yourself into.
  17. before you go spending anything. I'd suggest getting your automotive skills up a bit. The engine swap is quite easy if you have an engine hoist and a buddy. Also, get the right installation gear. Mounts/driveshaft. If you have no experience with wiring send it out to be done. After those issue are handled. Keep a handy automotive tech that knows cars around. Most times even the forum can not lead in the right direction due to lack of input on the owners side. If this is your first swap ever it might take more time than you think. Also consider if your chasis needs attention due to rust or poor metal qualities. If you look around at most of these guys chasis. They have been through a restore of some sort and a good general amount of them aren't new to z cars. Don't buy that car untill you have a body shop check it out. It may look solid but ask around. That car could just be a junker with you spending another 3-5000 in body work. Also, keep in mind this is not a cheap swap! I myself have an s13 chasis with an rb25det swap. It wasn't inexpensive but it was alot easier with mckinney hardware. also, i know it's a front clip. Motorset is simply the way to go. keep in mind the shipping cost.
  18. just a suggestion. The maf needs to be placed about another 6-8 inches away from the turbo inlet. The maf will not read properly and cause some issues.
