Whenever I fill up at a gas station I get raw gas fumes inside the car ('71 240). If I drive for about 20 miles the fumes seem to disappear.
If I don't fill past about 3/4 of a tank there are no fumes.
I know up in the rear quarter panel there is some kind of an overflow
tank so I am thinking the hose connecting the fuel tank to the overflow
may be at fault. OR might there be something else I could check to
correct the problem. Maybe the filler hose?
Do I need to lower the gas tank to check these out????
Any help appdreciated.
My 240 is going in for paint in a few weeks.
While it's apart I want to replace the rubber around
the windows, doors, hatch etc.
Motosport is out of stock. Any ideas as to the quality
rubber kit Black Dragon has?
thanks in advance.
I do realize that the rear carpet for a 240 and 280 are different, but just how different are they?
I went to vacuum mine today and it was so rotten that shreds were being sucked into the shop vac.
Used 280 carpet is being offered at a good price but it is about 30 miles
away and I am wondering if it is worth the trip.
Can the 280 carpet be modified to fit decently in my 240.
thanks
Not stock. They look exactly like ones I had maybe 20 yrs. ago.
They wern't rare then but maybe now.
Over a period of time when louvers like these were more popular, I
may have had 3 different styles but liked the style of yours best because
they fit cleanly inside of the hatch window trim.
I have had maybe 3 different hatch louvers since I bought my "71 new.
Got rid of the last one 20 yrs. ago. I like the cleaner look of the hatch without louvers. I do have it tinted however.
