TTTs are the most expensive .....i went with azc kit it bolts right up 2 piece vented rotor and it works great....i always hesitate when it comes to cross drilled....heard to many stories of cracked rotors .

I wish guys like you lived in my neck of the words .....i want an rb20det in my Z so bad ....i just dont have the know how......nice swap dude!

^^^^ I'm a bit OCD lol I think I've double checked every bolt I changed 10 times and I will probably double check 10 more times .....but your 100% right nothing would suck more then wrecking before hand .

Hey guys im getting mixed opinions on this so i figured i would ask and see what everybody here thinks. So after fully swapping out my original suspension for all adjustable after market goodies, i know i need an alignment before i hit the road. My question is if i eyeball the alignment and take it for a spin around the block to see how the tire is wearing and if all is good can i drive the car (10 minutes on highway @ 100kph) to the alignment shop without destroying my tires. Thanks in advance.

^^^^ I have the same problem with the vintage seals ....how did you shave them down ?

I have the vintage rubber door seals and they have the same problem where you have to slam the door to shut it properly.

Everything is already installed thats why i started this thread because the last thing i installed was the outer tie rods and thats when i got the issue ....the picture of the tie rod i posted is my car ....you can see all the TTT goodies on it.......i will post pics of the entire setup if you wanna see it.....the only thing i have and havent installed yet is S/T sway bars.

Plus I have already installed all of this and been itching to get her out soon so maybe a little anxious looking for as much info as fast as possible

I know what I'm after ...a fully upgraded suspension ....that's why I bought full bolt on coilovers ...camber plates ....sway bars ....LCA front and rear ...tension control rods...and outer tie rods ...with RCAs ....you guys are chiming in making me aware of the possible dangers and how all these upgrades won't fix the bumpsterr issue .....I want to do this safely and a lot of guys are doing this stuff and are interested in it so I figured why not talk about it and see why it can't be figured out and done properly ...if it hasn't been covered already .

Why ? I'm not trying to be rude I'm just curious why this hasn't been covered in here ...after all this is a forum for datsun enthusiast to help eachother is it not ? I don't want to know or get involved with any forum drama if there is any . So if that comment is gonna cause that ...moderators please delete.

There seems to be a lot of people here who know there stuff ...what's the proper way to lower your car and beef up the suspension but do it properly without any issues ?.....or is it a catch 22 ? I mean is there a thread sticky I'm missing ?...with so many people customizing there datsun you think this would have been covered and perfected by now ...no ?

Well I will definately be getting a professional to check range of motion in regards to suspension travel and tie rod heim joints busting on me ....I might be better sticking with the stock tie rods .....once I get the difference spacer from Brian I'm gonna throw it up on my brother in laws rack and he's gonna check it all before it even hits the road .

Ya the outer tie rods I have from Brian are crazy compared to stock ...I love them ....that's why I'm super happy he's trying to make it work for me .....what I meant is someone should come up with a outer tie rod .....RCA ...steering knuckle all in one kit it would probably be a big hit .

You sound like you know what your doing maybe its time to get into custom bumpsteer kit manufacturing lol......like you said lots of people are lowering there Zs...maybe theres a market for a proper bumpsteer kit.

Hey im all for getting it to clear and just driving .....Brian from zcc jdm is a great guy to work with and as stated will work with you to make sure your happy in the end.......looking forward to receiving the shortened spacers and hitting the road.

The only air ride z I have ever seen is a gentleman from Belgium I think ?.....and he adapted 5 series BMW air ride shocks to his Z....there's a video of it around

well i will be able to look at that this weekend ......another thing i jusy ran into is i have the hub adapter plus i added the works bell slim quick release...well with that added the horn button fits but doesnt sit flush up against the wheel .....if all else fails i just might have to rewire it like stated above.

Yes the way you did it in the picture is the exact way i will try it....thanks for the pic. Im assuming those are tie rods from Brian from zcc jdm?......im gonna hit up the fastener store and see if i can mimic what you've done in that pic.
