    Targa Top

David i know exactly what your talking about.. the ohter day i seen a 280ZX with the same targa panel on the roof of his car.. i know its not factory.. i guess back in the 80s it was kinda stylish... like how people use to add rocker pannels and chrome fender lips.. lol
  6. man that sux!!!! i feel your pain man.... i just got my car repainted a few months ago and now i gotta bring it back in cuz some motherF'in A**hole decided to key my car... at least shes ending up paying for your repair i gotta pay for my car to get repaited out of my own pocket...
  7. thats the same Kit ihave... MSA AERO II... he just modified his hod and pulled outthe flares about 2" more...
  8. how bout the hood of my friends blue Z
  9. did you try MSA or Victoria British first.. also try wings west.. theve got a 3 piece one too and so does Kaminari..
  10. im down to race!!!! now we can have our rematch dale!!! hahahaha its like our very own trial mountain..
  11. i bought mine at http://www.zcarparts.com a while ago when i got my car repainted.. i was lucky they had them in stock.. im not sure about now.. but id check it out if i were you.. or you can try victoria british or even your locak dealership.. if they dont have it they might try to call other dealerships to see if they have them.. but as the years go on it gets harder and harder to find those parts for the ZX..
  12. heres a pic of my car with the MSA AERO II kit
  13. the first one is a japanese body kit... dont know the name or even if you can get it still.. the second one is a modified MSA AERO II kit by AEROTECH in LA
  14. just remove all the chrome and rubber off the bumper frame and on the shocks for your bumper theres a screw that you remove to compress your shocks.. after you do that you just fasten the airdam and rear bumper/skirt to the bumper frame. the MSA bumpers are actually about 2" closer to the body...
  15. i left mine on but you can take them off cuz they are really heavy.. i left mine on for safty reasons.. if someone rearends me and i dont have a bumper .. there goes my car.. if its too heavy for you.. you probably could fabricate a lighter internal bumper rail and some brackets to attach the front and rear MSA bumpers to it.. or you could do what i did and just leave them in there..
  16. i recomend molding the side skirts to the car.. nt with bondo but whit a baremetal to fiberglass compound.. and have it riveted to the body to let it cure for 2 days then drill out the rivets and fill in the holes.. i had the rear bumper molded and riveted to the chassie and filled in with metal to fiberglass compound.. and i did also mold the front end too.. ive had the side skirts and rear on for a lil over 3 years now and theres no cracking on it and i drive the car everyday.. the font jas a lil crack in it but its a lot better then the huge gap that the kit has with the headlight scoops.. in my opinion by molding the kit on the car it give it a more natural and streamline look.. it looks like its part of the car and not so much a kit..

    plug foam

the only problem with that foam is that its a low density foam and can be dented by just pressing on it too hard.. the ridged urathane is a high density foam and can is prolly better suited for mold applications..
  18. so Ross how much is your big break kit going for.. i know you e mailed me a while back on that but i wasnt too sure how much you were selling them for both front and rear... by the way.. great spacers!!!
  19. are you refering to the pinstirpes on the body line of the car... i say take it off and repaint it...!!

    plug foam

i work for a foam company and the stuff your looking for is called fomular.. its either pink or blue and yes it is mainly used for insulation.. only problem is that it comes in sheets.. theres another type of foam you can use its a ridget urathane.. its yellow in color and from what i know about it its a lot easier to work with.. just a lil more expensive and it comes in blocks not sheets..

  23. yes theyre the same except for the 2+2 modles
  24. i agree.. ive seen that kit before back in the 80s.. it looked great in pictures but when i seen up close.. it really didnt look soo good.. it kinda has a weird body line or it doest follow the origionaly Z body line that well..
