  1. On the passenger side of the engine bay on my ZX, there is an electric blower motor that looks like it blows air on top of the engine. What is this for and is it really needed? I would like to remove it. THANKS
  2. I'm looking at a numbers matching 1970 240z that is number 4,xxx of 5,000 cars made. It's in running condition and good shape but there is a little rust under the carpet on the rail and the drivers door and front bumper are missing. The seller is asking 1500 for the car. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth driving 4 hours with a trailer to pick it up. thanks
  3. rdelat, I am interested in the front bumper setup. I would also be interested in the rear bumper. If you make the front bumper, I want to place an order.
  4. I'll post some as I get them uploaded. It's complete other than that it's missing the motor/trans but that's ok because the LS1 will be going in. The worst part of the car is the porsche looking front fascia that someone put on. Will need some bumpers and possibly new front clip because of the way they installed the ugly front end.
  5. I replaced all the engine bay vac. lines and cleaned all electrical connections. The car starts right up and runs pretty good. Still has low speed sputter but I am going to replace and check all the components and sensors.
  6. I just bought a 1975 280z without a motor or trans for 100 bucks. It seems to be rust free and very straight. It has a mostly complete interior but it had a v8 installed in it back in 1988 and it has been sitting ever since then. The only real problem I see is that it has a custom bumper/nose installed on it and they welded/fiberglassed onto the stock fenders. I am hoping I can just grind out the welds and rework the fenders but I'm not sure about that yet. I have a LS1 and 4l60e trans that I am going to put in the car if it all makes sense. Let me know what you think. Thanks
  7. I disassembled the TB on the ZX and a spring fell out from the bottom section and I can't find a working microfiche. Any suggestions? I am not even sure what the lower portion of the TB does. thanks
  8. Got that on the other thread, thanks again. Some good info there. If you happen to know where a microfiche is for a Throttle Body, I have a question about some internal parts and I can't seem to find a working microfiche for the unit. I'll keep searching as well. I will keep an update going on this problem but I am thinking it's the contacts at either the MAFS, Distributor and possibly at the injectors.
  9. I'm going to go get some contact cleaner and clean all the terminal connections. I need a manual for the EFI system, have any suggestions?
  10. The plugs I removed were pretty black but I have no idea how long he ran them.
  11. Sorry but I can't seem to find the "Bible" for my 1980 280zx. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks
  12. I just picked up a 1980 280zx that has sat outside for the last few years. The owner said it ran until it was parked. I have cleaned the injectors and replaced the spark plugs. I also drained the fuel tank and put in fresh fuel. I can start the car but it's sometimes hard so I use ether and it fires up. It runs extremely rough under about 2000 rpms. The engine sounds smoothe in the higher rpm's but it's missing or something in the lower rpms. All of the wiring seems dry and brittle allong with everything else. I have replaced the fuel lines going to the injectors from the fuel rail also. I'm not sure if it's electrical or fuel related. Where should I start? At this point I guess it could be anything because I really don't know how the car ran before I got it. I have ordered new plug wires, cap, and rotor. Please help me, I'm needing some direction with my new project. THANKS Kyle
