  1. I am finally ready to update the rear in my car and am looking to find some conversion flanges to run the 300zx cv axles, if anyone has anything let me know. Thanks Denis.
  2. as the ad says i am in search of the conversion flanges to do a cv axle swap, let me know what you have!
  3. my high speed air bleads are completely blocked of on my car and it runs great....
  4. im pretty sure those are the same wheels i have on my boat trailer!
  5. right on, did you upgrade your stub axles also when doing the cv swap? what are you running for the suspension up front if you dont mind??
  6. thanks! ya night and day difference with a turbo lol
  7. either one as long it is a source for engine vacuum. Just make sure you have suction from whatever port you are running the hose to... it should be good for a min of 12* of timing advance with that hooked up which is huge help on fuel efficiency and cooling while at idle and cruise

  9. TO Z OR NOT TO Z

  10. do you have the vacuum advance hooked up? it could help alot with economy...
  11. also what is your base timing set at and what is your total timing?
  12. That carb hat is very small! When i used my K&N low profile carb hat the car ran really really weird under full throttle. Changed to a procharger carb hat and all is well now. (but that is with a turbo lol) Also i cant believe you are running an edelbrock, i bolted my brand new holley street avenger on my old 350 and without touching a dial the car ran better then ever and with some more tinkering it ran top notch! those are kick ass carbs!
  13. First of here is the car on youtube... Help me pick out a stall converter for my th350! I am somewhat inexperienced with auto's. I got a parts car a while back that had a built th350 trans with manual valve body and a yank 4000 stall. I swapped out my t56 to put back in my camaro and now the car drives like ass! i can be going up a small hill and the car will be sitting in boost. There is very little turbo lag (none really). When i leave the line at the track the tach does not go below 5000 so its blowing through the stall there. What would be a good turbo motor converter for the street/track. i was thinking around a 26-2800? All of this is only on 6 psi, i cant imagine what it would do to that converter at 20 with race gas??
  14. to give you an idea of power to run 11's, i can run a pretty consistent 11.5 at 120 ( pegged out on the rev limiter in 3rd) 3.7 lsd r200 on pump gas on 6 psi of boost on my very mild 350 and th350 trans with sloppy stall (4000 stall blowing through to 5k under full power). I figure the motor makes an honest 300hp, and close to 420hp on 6 psi it has a mild cam ported 487 casting heads, flat top pistons and holley strip intake. twin t3/t4 setup. This is not a very efficient setup. The car would go much faster with a smaller stall and longer gear. If you had an honest 450hp with the correct gear ratio / tire choice / stall it would go mid to low 11's, street tires? probably not. heres a vide of an 11.7 pass the other weekend.
  15. i installed a saginaw one time, it fit like ****, had to jimmy rig the shifter, beat on the tranny tunnel ALOT it was offset wayy to far to the drivers side the way it hangs of the side, however the t56 fit much better
  16. This car is simply bad ass! On your old setup were you just dumping the trans brake on the half shafts? with a manual I broke a few with my car until i installed some bump stops on the struts, Now i have a trans braked th350 however i am kinda scared to try out the trans brake because it will leave me stranded at the track if all does not go well.
  17. check the plug wires. could be something as simple as that. I got a dizzy layin around for that thing to...
  18. first thing that should have been done is a compression test. get back to us with some numbers.
  19. simply said..... just a blast to drive. Tomorrow i gotta figure out how the r200 with the finned diff cover is gonna fit in there. Any creative ideas?
  20. Got some updated pics of the car. It is an extremely streetble setup and i hit full boost by 2800 rpm, if someone can swap a small block into one of these then they could definatly twin turbo it. Still working on it little by little. For some details its a .30 350 with flat top pistons, cam, holley street/strip intake, demon blow through carb, full aeromotive fuel system, twin 60/63 t3/t4 turbo's with ssautochrome headers. So far on race gas and 19 psi it put down 628 whp 720 wtq. Just got done rebuilding the lsd r200 and doing some suspension mods. hoping for 10's with the t56 speed thats in it but thinking about going auto for the 9 sec slip.
  21. damn you guys make my engine bay look so crowded..... and im not even fuel injected yet!
  22. Well i have a csu carb hat but i have spent over 5 hours on porting the inside of this one. I thought that it was pretty restrictive myself but it could be opened up alot since it is pretty thick. With the csu carb hat with my rubber motor mounts the bolt that holds the hat down tends to bump the hood so i just went with this one. The oil pump issue was never brought up until i had it all together and then i realized that the turbo was too low. BIG MISTAKE! But i had an oil pump laying around from my old rear mount turbo setup of my 94 camaro and i just slipped that right in and now everything is golden. I will remove it as soon as i build a new cross over piece.
  23. I think the difference between those turbo's are that one is internally waste gated and one is external. I don't think i mentioned that everything fit under the stock hood with 3 inches of clearance between the bonnet and the hood which is the tightest spot. By looking at my car from the outside nobody would ever know whats up. I love it when im up at a parking lot on a saturday night with all these people who are bragging about their cars parked accross 4 parking spaces and the cops roll up for noise complaints and drive right past my car and over to the honda civic with a coffee can.... Ohh and jerry if you do the twin turbo setup i had mine completely mocked up in another car the turbo exhaust was exiting right out of the fender wells and would have left a ton of room inside of the engine bay. Downside to my setup is that i was running Chinese turbos that i lent to a buddy who ran them without restrictor plates and blew the oil seals. The single turbo setup looks much cleaner under the hood due to less piping and was still super simple to build. I used a chop saw, sawzall , drill and arc welder (buzz box). pretty much everything that someone has access to in any garage.
  24. yea well thats on a to do list. If anyone is interested i think i might wanna get rid of that cross over pipe i want to build another one to relocate the new turbo that i got. This one also has a t4 flange and my new one will need a t3 turbo flange so a new one will have to be built regardless. Turbo is up for grabs as well but i would recommend a rebuild. This will work with the ebay ssautochrome headers. Let me know if anyone is interested.
