Don't know how easy it would to be done, but I saw a post about a car on this site for sale that had side pipes, do a search here and you should find it.

I know most of you have looked at Jeff Priddy's website with his 400+ HP 280zx. On one of his pages he shows a custom designed 3" exhaust system. I emailed him the other day and got a response that the shop would build some but only if there were 14 buyers. Jeff said he had about 13 or so people that at one time or another were interested in having that exhaust system. Jeff said it costed him around $850 with him doing the machine work on the flange, making the brackets and running around getting parts. Jeff said he would put me on his list and get ahold of all the people that were interested and see if he can come up with enough to have this exhaust system duplicated. What do you all think? is it worth my money? Im not really all that impressed with the exhaust systems I have looked at so far to fit my 280zx. Jeff Priddy's Extreme 280zx

I live in Orlando as well, don't know Miami to well. Other than its a heck of a road trip! a good 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic and speed.

Ok guys, need some advice here. I've been given a 83 280zx coupe NA and picked up a 83 280zx turbo 2x2 for almost nothing. I've almost got all the parts needed to convert the NA to turbo. Now I need the tools to work on these cars. right now I have none! so I was wondering if there is a manufacture that has a starter set that would be a good for working on imports as well as the tools I need to to a engine rebuild.

On another note! can anyone tell me if this turbo thats up for bid on Ebay would work for a conversion Im planning. Garrett Turbo I have a 83 280zx coupe, Non turbo that Im planning on rebuilding into a turbo, I am wondering if this Garrett turbo would work. The add says it has a standard T3 style flange. Is this a more powerfull turbo than the T3/T-04E hybrid turbo that seems popular for turbo Z projects.

here is the link to his other ebay item. it mentions a non paying bidder. Unless he had more than one intercooler I just assumed it was the one you had bid and won. I may be wrong. ebay item I would email him back and ask for the shipping price to include insurance. If he says it does, thats all you can do from your end.

Does anyone know if the T-25 turbo from a 96 Mitsubishi eclipse will fit a 83 280zx

RatedZ, Did you send that guy the money for the intercooler? I ask because their is another item on Ebay from Turbofan17 and his item listed also mentions an intercooler being relisted cause of a nonpaying bidder.

Interesting question, What if?... Stock 83 turbo, P90 head! How big can you go with injectors? What engine management system is perferable? whats the largest intercooler that will fit?

Ok, I picked up my second Z this weekend, A 83 Turbo 2x2. It is suposed to be the parts car for my 83Zx NA coupe. It may end up as its own project car, not sure yet until I can check the frame. Anyway This 83 2x2 turbo comes with the P90A head, which from what I've read has Hydraulic lifters. Heres my questions, ** They may be stupid but,,, when it comes to engines Im still totally clueless ** What are hydraulic lifters? will having the P90a head make rebuilding this engine to expensive? Can anyone point me to a good resource for info on the Hydraulic lifters? Thanks John

Hello everyone, Just received my first Z car! A friend gave me his 1983 280Zx NA, Yep! signed it over "non running" he said! needed a fuel relay and pump. His father bought it new and gave it to him a few years ago. The car is in good condition internally, Externally the car has almost no rust, some on the hood and a scratched spot near the rear fenderwell, Everywhere else looks solid. The car was sitting for almost a year before it was given to me. The engine does run fairly well, Needs a complete tune up, Havent had the time yet. Looking for other Z owners here in Central Fla, Also looking for a turbo parts car for a conversion. Which should be a fun project as I lack the three essental T'S Time, Tools, Talent totally auto mechanics challenged John White
