  2. Just noticed that you guys (silver car and blue car) don't have vented hoods. Louvered inspection lids look great.

  5. Before purging completely I was running 200-220. After, 180-190. Have you blocked off the area in front and below the rad. and around the supports so all the air is flowing through the rad.? This has been covered ad nauseum on this forum. It does make a big difference.

  7. Also, make sure you have purged the air out of the system. Jack up the front of the car and burp the air out with cap off. I had a problem with a new aluminum radiator until the system was cleared of air.

  15. I have a craftsman torque wrench. Not sure it's accurate. I used it once to torque my lug nuts to "spec" and 2 nuts fell off while driving! Not good. So how to test the wrench for accuracy?
  16. Very true. One of the problems with these cars is not knowing what previous owners did to them. I have discovered a mixture of parts from different years and models on my own. This complicates things and makes simple repairs more complicated than they need to be. Keep trying. Try calling z man of washington. I'm sure he can help you figure things out.
  17. And you're sure you didn't switch the caps around when reinstalling? Since the bushings are diff shapes. Just trying to help.
  18. Not sure that the u bolt is part of a stock set up. Is it contacting the cross member when you try to tighten down the stock clamp over the bushing? I have a 71 240 and the u bolt doesn't look familiar. I could be wrong.
  19. SBC with iron vortec heads, zcam,pertronics flame thrower dist., block hugger headers. P.O. built it so I don't have as much info as I'd like. So should I be adjusting my 600 cfm edelbrock carb as rich as possible? Just looking for max power/performance out of this particular set-up. '71 240Z Thanks
