  1. can anyone with a z32tt diff tell me how far behind the framerail the diff goes? by that i mean the framerail where the mustache bar is attached. the fuelcell, batterybox, double exhaust and r230 is going to be a tight fit thanks guys Sigurd
  2. i`m going to use a fuelcell in my rb26dett 240z, and i`m going to make a 2,5" exhaust system from each turbo to exit on each side of the rear. but i was wondering what you guys think. do i need a "x-pipe" like alot of v8 guys are using? and wich mufflers should i use for good performance and a nice sound? thanks Sigurd
  3. anyone? i really need to know if it goes further back than the r180...
  4. i just bought the sparco evo L seat for my z project. it`s so damn tight in my car with the cage and all so i will make my own mounts that will mount underneath the seat. the bottom of the seat will only be 3mm of the floor to give me headroom enough with a helmet and the cage. the seat is absolutely great to sit in, and just fits inside the z close call though the seat i bought is the new version of evo2 and looks almost simular to this one
  5. i`m in the process of installing my fuelcell and batterybox but i need a picture of an 240z with the z32 r230 installed so i can see how much room i got to play with. does the installed r230 go further back then the r180? it would be great if anyone could help me with this.. merry christmas Sigurd Solberg
  6. hi, i am reading up on the r230 lsd conversion to do in my 240, but i have a big problem. as i live in norway i dont know any of the words you guys use when you are talking about differentials, axles and stuff like that. if anyone could show me some pictures with names of the different parts i would be wery greatfull. its kinda hard to learn about conversions when you dont understand shit thanks Sigurd
  7. i`m about to innstall subframe connectors "pete style" any day now but i didnt think of the sway-bar clearance until i read this thread. will i have any problems with it in my 240z?
  8. wish i could do something like that with my father, i have a me/me project instead
  9. my english sucks, i know. but i`m great at writing norwegian if that helps?
  10. to bad you didnt post this a week ago, would have bought it right away, but i just bought a r26 this weekend
  11. i`m looking to buy a set of mounts aswell, just got my rb26dett this weekend
  12. those kids are from Norway, and so am i
  13. the cool thing about this car is that he made almost everything himself! i have a magazine article here about it (would scan it but you guys wouldent understand shit ) and he made practicly every part possible, incredebly impressive 8)
  14. no its going be manual offcourse the clutch sylinder fits without a problem. plenty of space 8) i just picked up my rb26dett, so i`m kinda excited about the project
  15. thanks for the suggestions johnc i will look into it. the cage is made to make the requirements of a racingseries for sportscars here in norway, but i`m not sure if i will join it or not. atleast not for a couple of years when i get the time and the money the car will get a rb26dett, wich i`m picking up this weekend, and the suspension and brake mods for it to be a very fun car to play with on trackdays and maybe even some 1/4 mile
  16. just got my car back from the guy who built my rollcage, i`m very happy with the results. what do you guys think?
  17. wery nice! but i still dont understand you mike why dont you just sell one of your z`s and finnish the other one? the green one got alot of sweet parts but its still on jackstands?!?
  18. Yeah a ca18 "D" et would be a nice engine' date=' but what do you mean by "cheap"? Maybe they were available in Europe? I thought only in Japan actually, but I could be wrong. Anyway I'm sure they didn't have them in North America, so that would most likely rule out the cheap part.[/quote'] here in europe we got the ca18det in our s13`s. so atleast here its a cheap engine.
  19. ca18det is the engine you want! it fits right and its alot cheaper than sr20. it has 169hp and 224nm and its really easy to get about 300hp in it.
  20. some more pictures would be great is the connection of the main hoop really strong enough? looks great but i have never seen anyone else with a cage like that i think... btw i really love the way your car turned out, looks awsome!
  21. i`v have made arrangements with a guy thats going to build a rollcage in my Z. but i`m not quite sure about how i want it. have been thinking alot about making it like the cage in rc's240z`s BRE replica. but i need some opinions on it the car is going to be street driven but with alot of trackdays and possibly some racing later on. i dont care about how practical it is becouse its not going to be daily driven. i really want the cage to go thru the firewall and connect to the front strut towers. if anyone have pictures of some nice cages that would be great
  22. wrong, its a 4wd. a tranny from a rb25det bolts right on.
