hear is the thing, i am sure that it can be done for lots of money and lots of welding on the frame of the car. i have a 2002 2500 dodge ram. if i remember right the motor with trans and fluids weighed like 1600lbs... mind you you still can get a cummins... but it would have to be the 4bt. my uncle put one in his jeep and it had the almost the same mounting height. i have my truck fire ringed with arp head studs stock internals and i am running a turbo from a Volvo dump truck plus 250 hp edge nozles and a edge juice with attitude. last time i dynod and tuned it i had 850 hp runing 63psi and over 1800 tq. the dyno stopped at 1800 so the tq is unknown. if that is the route you plan good luck and have fun keeping it strait. mark

hello all from the grate sand box of Afghanistan... well i am in the market for some upgrades... i ordered a 272 cam from a member hear by the name of...Scott_M67... eagerly awaiting it... first off i have a 1980 280zx fuel injected car right now... i plan to put this cam, a 4bbl manifold and a 390 carb on for some small upgrades... rockers also with the cam... my questions is should i spend my money on a new Arizonan intake or should i go with a used Bob Sharp Racing 4bbl Intake... the new one shipped is going to run about 315 and the bob sharp will run 290... the bob sharp if from a member on hear... also i have been pondering with the idea of trading a friend of mine my 80 for his 2+2 75 fuel injected 280z. so a side question will these 2 mods work with both cars... also what other mods could i do to make her a bit more peppy... thanks for all the help and sorry for the long post... mark

hello to all hear is my new toy a 1972 datsun 240z... http://s160.photobucket.com/albums/t188/markdeady/1972%20%20240Z/ hope you enjoy the pics... i think that i got a great deal on her... it has a l28 that is stretched out to a 3.0ltr, 4speed, single 4baral carb intake and a 390cfm holly, msa header full 2 1/2 in exhaust and a nice muffler in the back. in side all stock except for the new reverse glow gauges that are soon to be replaced with some auto meter ones, some seat covers and a stearing wheel... with this ltl gem i also got the stock l24, and a whole truck load of parts every thing from origional nissan door panels to full trim kit to l28 turbo oil pump... all new in the boxes. the only bad so far is that i have to repair the rear brakes and fix some align ment issues with the doors the sag just a bit... the car also has a new set of rims on her but i do not know what kind... as far as rust goes i can count the number of spots on one hand, some floorpan rot were some one tryed to jack the car up incorectly... also it is lowered 1" as well... all this for $3000 what do you think of my score... thanks mark

it to me sound like you ran in to some bad luck or you had your timer on to long... i have been running for the last 2 year on my hy-35 at up to the 45psi range and she has not even hiccuped... i turbo time till she is cool down to 350 and shut down... the only other mods that i have on my truck is a 5" stack kit, 250 hp inj and the edge juice with attitude... sound like you just had a bit of bad luck... also a friend of mine is running a 06 auto with the same charger up to 55psi he is all stock execpt for the smarty... mind you he is not runing it around all the time like that but i have seen her just a singing... well good luck with the 06 i am going to stick with my 2nd gen 24valve... mark

is an air induction valve case del posable
mark.deady replied to mark.deady's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
my manual calls it "The air induction valve case" located under the ignition coil i can hear the the sound of the moter through it... if i put my fingers over the hole and it quiets it down a lot... i had a similar set up on my trans am it was some type of air pump for when it was cold out... part of the emissions stuff... thanks mark -
looking to see if an air induction valve case del is possible, i have a l28 280zx. when i get her running the motor is really loud but only because of the secondary air valve... was wondering if it is possible to just delete it of am i stuck... thanks mark

well i am going to be starting gathering the parts for my v8 swap... i am having trouble deciding weather i should do a sbc 383 with a 5speed or do a ls126 with a t-56 the catch is with the ls1 i want to run her stock but with a ms3 cam and the victor jr intake and msd setup... that do you think will be the most street able and longest durability set up... thanks mark

k thanks... i do have a manual... i used it and located the reverse lamp switch... i guess the guy that had the car before me disconnected it. for what reason i do not know. any way i hooked it back up and put her in reverse and they lit up... great... still confused on why he unhooked it and zip-tied it under the bat. glad it was an easy fix good luck to anyone with the same prob... defensively suggest to check the corrosion on the lamp sockets... -

ask about PRK.. that is what i had there is no flap to worry about... they rub the cornea away with this spinning tool, something like what they use on your teeth to clean them but smaller... the idea is that you will be clearing away the the whole area and it will heal back with out the worry of hitting your eye and tearing your flap. it hurts a bit more but will heal up better and more completely... i have had my PRK for over 2 years and still see 20/25 in both eyes... before i was very near sited. well good luck and just let us know how it turns out...
