  1. HOW THE HELL DOES THIS QUOTE THING WORK? I scrood it up again and made a new post when I clicked edit on the first one ... Hey whats up, I have ebay access Has anybody contacted this guy. I seen this on ebay, I thought it was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. I mean as far as the description goes. I agree it is a very sad site to see. like seeing a crashed nissan skyline r34 in america on ebay.
  2. Where are those pics? im interested in how you re-routed the fuel lines.
  3. It really depends on what you like, the 280z's or the 240z's why do you need more horsepower again? 150hp is fine for me especially when the car weighs 2100lb. anyways if you buy those cars off your mailman, you will have to change your user name on hybrid z
  4. Have you guys been to http://www.eastwoodco.com/
  5. That is a quality ride that will last another 35 years with minimal maintenance I bet Except of coarse for the racing carburetors but hey, it's a road race car right? You will post this on youtube, when its running, Right?
  6. You're right about me guessing. And you're right about the "dual purpose" too. I realize that I cannot possibly get a car that can compete while having a car that I can drive to go compete. However, I know it must be possible somehow to make a car that is capable of "dual purpose." I am a bit of a newb. But I took a brakes, steering, and suspension class. I know a few things about suspension so I wont have to stare blankly at replies made. There is one thing I am unsure about, Can Suspension affect the understeer or oversteer of a car? and another question, Is there a suspension out there that is mainly for street (able to handle bumps without cracking the frame) and dually for track but only as a secondary (stiff enough to handle corners with ease)? Basically I want a suspension that is good for a daily driver but is able to handle the track for the weekends .
  7. Just got my car, looks like junk compared to your guy's cars. so I wont bother uploading, ill give you a link http://s477.photobucket.com/albums/rr138/visatrade240z/?action=view&current=000_0371-1.jpg
  8. Okay I like coilovers and all but, how would I go for racing suspension kits? By racing i mean, being able to adjust: bound, rebound, suspension travel, angle of struts, and a spring kit that can go with a soft dampening on the struts to make it drivable on the street or track. If Arizonazcar has these, are you sure?
  9. Umm, Im kinda a newbie when it comes to this kind of stuff... I'm assuming a 1972 240z tank can't be autofilled by the pump, correct? also, where are these hoses located, do I have to remove the interior pannel or do I have to somehow remove the exterior rear quarterpannel?
  10. I agree Completely, gull wing is possible and I would love to see one but it wouldn't look as suhweet as a 240z with gullwing doors:shock:. As far as suicide doors (I'm not sure about lambo suicide doors) they would look horrible. Have you seen the door on a Z (of coarse you have) It's a coupe so suicide doors would look goofey but be functional.
  11. Black Interior! WOW very beautiful! How much did you say you got it for? 20k Would be a great deal. Not saying I want to buy it or anything. And if I'm imposing by asking, just ignore me. AWESOME RIDE!
  12. http://s477.photobucket.com/albums/rr138/visatrade240z/ I forgot to take a picture of the interior through the door, but as you can see the car is in fair to good condition.
  13. I need help to find exactly the upgrade parts (because I am 85% sure my car does not need to be restored) I will need so that I can add the price up before I buy. I have an idea of what I want (even though there are so many ways to upgrade a 240z) but I need help finding all these parts that can meet my requirements. Kind of like a online shopping cart. I may not have enough money today, tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, or even a few years from now. However, I am going to piece it together one by one like a lot of Z modders do. First Let me say I appreciate anyone who puts in any input towards my project. I'm dreaming of a car. A car similar to the youtube.com video of "Darthviper vs one fast datsun." I'm not necessarily looking for horsepower, but more towards handling. I want it to have a little bit of understeer because I am a new driver. I don't need a car that drifts around corners. I have provided maximum prices for some parts to give you an idea of what I want to spend. I am interested in so that people dont get the wrong idea and go and find me a seat that costs $2500 or a wheel that will cost me $1000. 1. Racing wheel Sparco doesn't have an adapter. Requirements: The wheel preferably with a line marker at the top of the wheel (like the pro racers and rally drivers use). It must be round not a rally wheel because I am driving this car on a daily basis to and from work. [$300] 2. Racing seats. Sparco wont fit (I like Sparco can you tell?). Requirements: Must be "non adjustable back" But slide on a rail so that I can adjust if another person gets in my car. I want bucket seats that have a finish like a Sparco seat.[$750] 3. 4 point safety harness. Requirements: Must have a quick release in case I go over a bridge or something and almost drown. [$300 each] 4. Suspension Requirements: I need it to have some sort of way to adjust the shock travel so that it doesn't drop the wheels too much every time I lift the car in the air. Fully customizable suspension. I'm looking for the bada$$ of suspension. This car will see the track but alot more of the street so not too stiff but maybe adjustable to be super stiff. [THE SKY IS THE LIMIT] 5. Next I will probably work on the body of the car for a while until I get enough money to mess with the rear end (next step). 6. I need a beast for a rear end. I do care about saving a little weight. But I would rather have something back there that I know wont blow even with a 300-400hp engine. (please consider the engine I will be using in the next step) Requirements: Must have a 2 way limited slip differential (geared not clutched) (to be decided for sure, Someone Talk To Me About LSD differentials PLEASE). Must have CV joints instead of U joints. Able to withstand 300-400 horsepower (even though I'm not probably ever going to get that much out of the engine I'm using) [THE SKY IS THE LIMIT] 7. The Engine, V6 very lightweight or an engine known for excellent weight distribution. Doesn't need turbo or supercharger. However I do want fuel Injected [expensive is fine] Anyways, That's my wishlist for now. Thanks for looking everyone
  14. "I would love to contact the guy, but I can't get through to E-Bay as it's a restricted site. If anybody has e-bay access, you can maybe direct him to this thread, and send him my e-mail (in my profile) so he can send me a ping, and we can go it from there." HOW THE HELL DOES THIS QUOTE THING WORK? ... Hey whats up, I have ebay access Has anybody contacted this guy. I seen this on ebay, I thought it was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen.
