  4. Hey guys looking for the Green Plastic 6 tooth speedo main drive gear, 1.13 inches ID and 1.73 inches OD from a 1983 Turbo Borg Warner Transmission. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please PM me if you have one!
  5. Pat1, I believe your car has the best Stance/ wheel combo. Do you have lowering springs with stock suspension components? or are you using coil overs? I recently acquired a set of rotas 17X8.5 +4 offset and have a early 74' 260Z with Stock suspension. I assume I will need to roll the fenders, will I also need to use spaces to clear the stock spring perches? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Do those Rotas, fit the car without Flares? I am looking to get a set of wheels that fit without flares. If they do fit what size and dimensions are they? Do they bolt right on, no adapter needed?
  7. So i just took off the water pump and there is an area where the blades from the water pump scratched the housing, also there is little pieces of metal in the bottom radiator hose.. should i flush the system with water before i put the refurbished radiator on, and if so, what is the best way to do this, should i run water through the system by shooting water into the top radiator hose? any help is appreciated! Thanks, Brian
  8. Thanks guys, Thinking about an aluminum radiator off of ebay, anyone used this company before? looking for feedback http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ALL-ALUMINUM-3-ROW-RADIATOR-74-75-DATSUN-260z-CC110_W0QQitemZ200317203293QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2ea3d5f35d&_trksid=p4506.m20.l1116
  9. So i took out my 74 260z for a drive after finally installing a new starter, I got it started and it ran well, There was a groaning noise coming from the front, i said i was going to order a new water pump as soon as i got in for the day. I took it for one last drive about 15 miles when i started making some real loud screeching noises, then the pump went, on my drive way about 200 yards from the garage.... but the pump shattered and i took the radiator out and the guy at the shop said he would have to cut out about 10% of the radiator, but he said that the car should run fine... should i get a new radiator or use the old one with 10% less capacity?
  10. where you from in pa? I live near scranton .

  11. Interlagos blue is fantastic! rick i called the website the car was hosted on and I was told it was a custom color from japan..... that is a great blue as well, I was ready to paint it that color as soon as i saw the car... too bad..
  12. blueovalz, how did your experiment/ application to your car go? I am curious about doing the front of my car with 3m protective film right after it is painted.
  13. Thanks! the colors look great this is going to be a tough one. Here are a few good pics of the colors I initially listed: 1. Porsche Lapis Blue 2. Honda Belize Blue 3. Porsche Marine Blue
  14. KenshinX do you know what color that is for Curtis240z? I am going with a PPG BC CC. I was originally going to go with a House of kolors Cobalt candy blue however I was told that it is hard to match the original paint if i needed to get a scratch or panel fixed. Here is another pic
  15. I Bought a 72 240z in November of 08, It has a 83 turbo swap, eibach springs, 4 disc brakes, r200, and a horrible silver base coat clear coat DIY paint job. When i brought it home it was running a dangerously high 15 psi, so i backed it down to the stock 6psi until i tune the engine. I did a compression test and it turned out good. The body was solid so i decided to strip it down and have it repainted over winter. I am now trying to pick a paint, the body shop is almost done with the body work and will be painting in 3 weeks. Here are a few pics of the car before i stripped it down The top colors right now are 1. Porsche Lapis Blue 2. Honda Belize Blue 3. Porsche Marine Blue Please post pics of Blue Zs, or your favorite Color Blue
  16. Here is a pic of my 72' 240Z with eibach lowering springs, MSA spacers and 17X7 (i believe +40 mm offset) don't know the brand, got them out of the junk yard. They have 225/ 45/ R 17 tires. no rubbing

  20. I am 21 Reasons i bought a 72' 240t.....$3,000 1. My ride home from the hospital after birth was in a 84 300zx. 2. My father has a 74 early 260z. He originally bought it (when i was 4) with a blown head, ironically the nissian dealers race team blew an engine that weekend and was selling their head. so my father put the racing head on some performance headers and a straight through monza exhaust and down draft webers. The car has been a loud, bright red icon in motorspot for me growing up. never once listened to the radio in the car, the exhaust note is amazing 3. college student trying to go fast with style. 4. finally found one zero rust 240z, 83 28zxt, r200, t5 tranny, eibach springs, koni shocks, lightweight flyweel car. It was everything i ever wanted in a Z
  21. 1972 triumph spitfire. $300 when I was 14. Runs now, needs floors. never had it on the road, just cruising around the yard with the bonnet flipped up with a funnel full of gas running to the carb. one day...maybe a SCCA race project who knows, no time now. Recently purchased 72 240z L28T RUST free! $3000 t5 tranny, eibach springs, koni shocks, R200, 4 wheels disc brakes, currently stripping paint to find a wonderful thing called metal.
  22. Sounds good... i was worried. I was able to take off the intake hose and shake the compressor blade. It seemed to shake a little but not too much...tough to tell .. i never have done it before. But it seemed to spin rather easy. I could not get the j tube off it seemed to be connected to 100 things. Also there was not any oil on the plugs after I cleaned them after the compression test. I do think it is running rich, you can smell it at low rpm's AS for the wideband...it will have to take a back seat.. I live in the mountains of Pennsylvianna and a 1/2 mile driveway straight up. Its got a sheet of ice and snow on it. I am shifting my efforts to stripping the car for paint so it will be straight and rust free for the spring
  23. Ok Guys, Got a Christmas tree Thursday, had surgery Friday, but I got the compression test done today. bought the kit and did it myself. here are the results DRY then WET.
