  1. 105.3 actually lol (live105) yea their sat night show is called sub sonic starts at 10pm and ends at 4 am on sat best electronic show ive ever heard
  2. 1989-93- 240sx came in the us both coupe and hatchback both came with flip up headlights 1989-93- 180sx is the hatchback version of what we call the 240sx, except it is sold in japan with only flip up headlights, and a turbo or na sr20 motor 1989-93- silvia is sold in japan employing the same drivetrain options as the 180sx. the silvia has the same body as the coupe 240sx in the us. although it comes with fixed lights instead of flip up lights. in the early years of this body style there were also cars that came with ca18det motors in order to turbo charge a ka24de or ka24e one must lower the compression and fabricate many other custom pieces i like the idea but an sr20det is a very strong motor and it has become popular enough in the us so that one can go about getting parts for it personally i think a 240sx hatch back has more characteristics of a z then the 300zx 90-96 every will dont kill me for saying that lol anyways just thought id give you guys a little body and motor history on the s13 chassis of the 240sx
  3. wont happen theyre saving it for the new skyline till they decide what theyre going to put in the new skyline (as far as bringin it to te US) i dont think well see anymore turbo nissans in the us
  4. yea monterey is my fav place in cali. im from san francisco currently living in santa cruz(close to monterey) my z used to blow shite loads of fuel (carbs were set hella rich) and was the loudest damn thing on wheels. cops know were smog exempt in cali from what ive seen, they dont really give a hoot send me an email when you move good luck
  5. i was a valet for 8 months at a large hotel in downtown san francisco i was fired on new years after being kept 40 minute over time and missing a dinner reservation. oh yea the reason i got fired was that i got cought doing 50 in the overflow lot. i was pissed and trying to get the cars parked fast so i could go. cars i have driven because of that job porsche turbo (weird clutch) ferrari 305( old 80's didnt like it ) new m3 (yea ...folding mirrors at the press of a button, fun to play with) sl55 amg (will do a full on burn out on parking lot cement if you punch it from a stand still with no traction control) s600 (someday when i comand a small drug cartel i will own this car) lifted f350 diesel four door (absolutely the hardest car ive ever had to park and annoying as all hell to drive) rs4 (dude was trying to explain to me what it was, in the end it sounded like a s4 with more boost and some other mods) 750il (another car you feel you could work for the mafia in) zO6(lots of fun but feels very big) my favorite of all time to drive, is a simple m5 fast luxurious and sexy rule of thumb as far as myself and all the valets i worked with was if you made us feel like you deserved the car or actually cared about it (and tiped us when you droped it off) we would treat you car well but if you rented a porsche boxter(which you can in san francisco although they are peices of shite) and told us u wanted it back just like it is, you were getting a car back with two bald tires valets do respect and appreciate tips($2-10 is normal)
  6. im 5' 7" and 220, i fit better in a s30 than my 240sx. you gotta remember they were the first japanese sports car designed for an american market. compare the roominess of a old roadster to your z. no comparison. mr.k. just really wanted to be a 6'5" 260lb white dude after seeing my fair lady
  7. FL327 put my buddies car together, it runs 83 harness with 81 ecu, its nice. Of course, his car still runs me into the ground, I will get you
  8. my buddy just picked up a v8 240z and the rear drums are making some funny noises, so we want to swap to rear discs. i did a search but couldnt find anything specifically on this. ive seen websites that go through the rear disc brake conversion but i cant seem to find them again. can you guys help me out, and either point me towards a link or and explaination on how to do a cost effective rear disc conversion on a 240. zhins in frisco
  9. MUDGE i met that dude on the bart (uc berkeley) oh and it wasnt an accident he struck up a conversation with me and eventually asked me if i had seen this video of a uc berkeley student with a web cam on the web lol i said naaaa then he starts bragin about how many people had seen the video and how respected the dude was lol i got off at the next stop and started laughing my ass off lol
  10. i searched this topic but could not find anything so i hope someone can help about a month ago i was in santa cruz with my 240 and had to take a dirt road to my friends house. i drove slowly but ended up cracking my front kit. i taped it and hoped it would get me home to san francisco. well i was on the free way and the kit riped off. scary noise by the way. anyways the right side of the kit remained on, but the left side was torn of including the turn signal( but the bulb was still hanging intact). the strange this is that when i put on the left turn signal its on and blinks but when i do that to the right turn signal it does not blink. also both turn signals are solid not blinkin as they should be when the lights are on. last nigt i was on the freeway driving home from the shop and my right turn signal indicator would flicker on when i went over a jolt on the freeway. ............so yea im confused and was wondering if you guys could give me some advice as to whats going on lol gratefully zhins in frisco
