  2. looking for a l28 turbo setup with everything, afm , harness, ecu, coil, etc. everything to make it run. im also interested in a t5 if the price asked is fair. im just trying to see if anyone is tired of their turbo setup and wants to sell it as a full package.
  3. some people have told me that theres bad ground to the relay, so lets try that out first. but i have no idea why your 240 is still doing it even with the igition off?
  4. So when i put the key in on position or the car is idling, the ignition relay will click.. open close, in a pattern with even intervals. what could this be?

Heres an interesting one that i couldnt really search. my blinkers have not been working for a while. so i decided to buy a new electronic flasher, and another fuse. viola it works. the only down side is that when you blinker left or right, ALL of the lights come on, just like the hazards. btw hazards work fine. Any input will be appreciated. thanks
  6. im looking for a real reliable block (running before pulled), because i picked one up off this site, no im stuck with a bad main seal, oil leaking oilpan, and some water in the oil :/

  9. I need a L6 block to fit snuggly under my rebuilt n42 head. Block should very very clean and include, oil pump, oil pan, timing cover. I would like one that has not been tampered with, still turning, and preferably running before pulled. Im on a tight budget, but pm me with a detailed description about the block. I am willing to drive 100 miles of Fullerton, Ca to pick up.

In respects to this diagram, what piece would it be? http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/distributorrebuild/distributor%2079-81zx.gif i also forgot to mention that i switched from 5w-30 to 10w-40 before the dizzy swap. i am unsure of how many miles were on the block before i ran it. could this be the issue as well?
  14. hrrm. the noise is still persistent even with the grease. should i swap the oil pump to a zx just in case? the stethescope is pointing the noise to directly above the oil pump
  15. thanks hoov. popped out the shaft, put some valvoline grease on it, n no more noise.
  16. hello all. my 77 280 has been giving me problems ever since i swapped in a zx dizzy (e12-80). the car idles perfectly but there is this strange noise. i used a stethescope to pin point the noise. it is coming from the oil pump/oil shaft/ or the dizzy itself. Where it makes the most noise is when i point it at the timing cover right above the oil pump. i used the 280 shaft and pump. is there anyone who can give me advice to what is causing this noise? thanks

I had my car jacked up in the rear the other day and i wanted to start it because its been a while. it started up just fine except for one thing. my rear wheels were spinning. is this normal? or is my clutch still engaged. and if it is engaged, how would i go about adjusting it. i started to fiddle with it by loosening the 12mm and twisting the rod in and out. but which ever way, the tires still spin. the car is a fairly stock 77 280. and one last thing, when i step on the clutch fully, the tires stop. any input will help. thanks
  19. ive never heard that noise before. it never made that sound before the dizzy swap. ill post a video up tomorrow.
  20. the wiring i believe is correct. im putting a 280zx dizzy into my 280z. the parts swapped in were only the dizzy, icm, and dizzy cap. the wires and oil shaft are from the stock motor. the problem is, the engine idles fine, revs fine and everything, but every couple of 20 second intervals, i would hear a weird, "woop" sound. i dont know if i need the zx oil shaft, or what. any input will help thanks
  21. I'm looking for a used, cheap MSII. im new to it, so im trying to look for one that is set up for a stock l28. i need everything included to make it run The Main board Case Stimulator Relay board Cables. Im going to use the stock wiring harness.
