  1. Need it for a 77 280z. has to be in very good condition. PM me thanks
  2. Let me check to see if i still have it. i might have soldit to a friend. I don't remember. Since it is a mild cam, the stock lash pads, springs and rocker arms should suffice.

  3. msa thought i was retarded. i was like. im looking for these two parts that go between the head n the block. there all, uhh. a headgasket?? anyways. yes i dont hve those "dowels" in, and i have discovered a leak between the head n block near cylinder one on the passenger side. i dropped the oil pan a few days ago. there seems to be another leak coming from inside of the timing cover. its dripping also from the passenger side near the bottom. do you think its the same leak? or different, cause there both at cylinder one.
  4. help please?? ive already tried searching
  5. ok so i bought this junked block that has been sitting for a couple of years. the po said that it ran fine when before he pulled it, no leaks or anything of that matter. i did the usual, machined the head, new gaskets and such. the car is on two stands. when i was underneath my 280, i noticed that there was coolant leaking. it was a stream of coolant running along from the front of the oil pan, to the back. one other fact. on the l6 motors, there are two nipple like thingies that pop out from the block so the head could match up to it perfectly. i forgot to put those on. so i was wonering if those two nipple things could be the problem. thanks.
  6. whats the # on the block?
  7. sounds tempting, but i dont know what the cost of new pistons, and remachining the block would be. i really want to just slap something in my car so i can get it to run by the end of my senior year of high school. but if a couple of weeks roll by and i dont get one, i guess ill take yours. but for now. im lookin for one that i can just slap in. thanks
  8. looking for any short block that includes crankshaft, pistons, pretty much the whole bottom end. a ++ if you have a rebuilt, big bore. looking to pay $500 or less preferably in california, will drive out of state as long as i get a deal thanks
  9. Im looking for a big bore bottom end (basically everything except for heads, manifolds, oil pan, and tranny) Which consists of, block, pistons, rings, rods, and crank. My intentions are to slap in a good block to get my car running before my senior year of high school ends. Im pretty sure that all L6's are interchangeable for different heads, but i have a n42 head, so preferably one that fits that. thanks.
  10. thats a pic of a stock 77 40MM TB.
  11. i need an untouched 77 AFM i also need the wiring that goes to the BCDD valve. thanks
  12. found out the problem. i thought the pump turns on when the key is in on position...yeah im an idiot. but, there was bad connection to so i got it. thanks guys.
  13. ok so i just rebuilt my engine and it was only turning. no fuel going to the injectors at all. so i decided to replace the fuel pump. i buy a replacement from a member on hybridz. I was mad at the old fuel pump because it was the only thing stopping me from starting the car. I lit it on fire, left it for about 3 minutes. the fire got waay too big, so i dumped water and sprayed windex on it to put it out. so i go down to install the pump i recently got. it didnt work. so i back track on the pump, and find some bad connections....thats not the worst part. It turns out, that the pump i just bought, was suckier than the one that was in my car, ripped out, on fire, and doused in water. so i put the OLD pump back in. sure enough, it fires up.....
  14. how many ground wires come on the efi harness and where are the best grounding points at?
  15. is it possible that my ecu is bad and i need another one?
  16. i need help, are there any fuses or any relay going to the fuel pump? i replaced the fuel pump, but there is no power going to there.
  17. the grounds are good. i dont know whats next besides replacing the fuel pump and injectors. idont want to do that until im sure of the problem. i forgot to mention. prior to my rebuild, the engine overheated. by the engine overheating, could that have caused the pump to go out? or injectors? thanks
  18. info: 77 280z l28 stock my friend and i assembled my engine back together today. as i tried to fire it up, it only cranked. there was spark going through the wires. we popped open the fuel line right above the fuel filter and it was filled with gas. after about 10 tries of just cranking, i took off one of the spark plugs and there was not a drop of gas. they looked brand new out of box. i dont know if its wiring, of fpr, or what please help!! thanks
  19. is the fan suppose to be hard to spin? or easy to spiin when the engine is off

  21. does anyone have a good fan clutch for a 77? or does anyone have a MSA electric fan for sale?
  22. My engine recently overheated and shut off. As I got it started after it just died, my friend held down the fan blade with his fingers and it didnt move at all. my question is, how do you know if fan clutch is bad? Was my fan not working because my engine overheated? or did my engine over heat cause my fan was bad. I was also wondering if anybody has ever done the MSA electric fan conversion. I would like to see if they like electric better than the regular. thanks
