  1. Sorry old thread I know... What is the piece near the yellow jack rod (attached to the frame)? I am looking to jack up my 280Z and am looking for good jack points so I can remove my suspension from the car. Thanks
  2. Sorry if this is hashed out many times before... I did make an attempt to search. I am looking at using 15x8 with 0 offset on my Z. I have (coil overs) and standard ZG flares. I am looking at using the bolt-on adapters/spacers and think 20mm or 25mm will work for the rear and about 15mm for the fronts. I measured about 6" from the rear drum to the edge of the flare (car was not at the correct ride height so it will be less then 6" (closer to 5.5" I think) when it's set correctly. The reason for 15x8 is there seems to be better options new and used in 15x8. Thanks
  3. I am also looking for a set of fender mirrors. Can you send me some into kerry.herr@gmail.com I am located in St. Louis, MO
  4. Thanks guys. I guess I'll guide coat my epoxy to see the low/high spots and fix them. I thought I ready I shouldn't sand too much of the epoxy off as it would just be a waste of money and I should save the sanding for the poly. Cheers
  5. Here is my plan: Fall Sand car down with 80grit to remove old respray Sand down to metal where filler will be needed Apply filler where I can and get as close to flat as possible in this stage Apply epoxy primer on car (2 coats) over whole car Let car sit for the winter and work under it on the suspension until it warms up Spring Sand epoxy primer with 120grit Apply polyester primer 2-3 coats Guide coat the whole car Sand with 220grit Apply light weight filler Guide coat specific areas Sand with 320grit Add filler Guide coat specific areas Sand with 400 grit Take it to a paint shop to add base coat and clear... Thoughts?
  6. Thanks. I am still looking for a used piece. I might just use some fiberglass cloth and some 18ga metal (as ribs) to close it in. I agree it is much weaker without it there
  7. Thanks guys.. This is for the drivers rear quarter. My original one was rusted bad and I cut away the rust and now it is 8" too short now. I need a solution to seal up the trunk from the exhaust (the inner panel did this) and give some added strength to the lower quarter. I think I am going to make a template and try to use some thin sheet metal. I tried to use 20ga and it is too difficult o work with for me ..I will try 22 or 26ga as the inner skin and use some 20ga 1" strips (like ribs) for some strength.
  8. Please let me know how you have fixed a rust/missing inner quarter (lower) panel. I am missing my drivers side due to rust and am looking at options. It seem the original design is flawed as it really just collects dirt and other road crap.. Thanks
