Just mention Bare Speed to them. This will also be shown at the SEMA show this year. the pipe will come out of the 2 3.5 holes in the front near the L/R of the radiator. I will post more updates as parts come in. I used LineX for under coating and a great comapny named Quiet ride Solutions. When the car was running with the stock engine it was very quiet. Now we changed to LS1. Im sure there will be a bit more noise and vibrations. LineX Al's Liner, diy product also take a look at fatmat. i think they are all very close product.

Air Condition mount LS1?
Bare Speed replied to Bare Speed's topic in Gen III & IV Chevy V8Z Tech Board
JCI version seems expensive. My boss will not pay for anymore parts. I tried looking for the set up but cant find it. -
how is everyone mounting the air condition using the JCI mounts? pictures or p/n would be a great help. thanks.

I have been looking for a radiator and found these that would work. Let me know your thoughts. http://www.koyoradracing.com/products/radiators.asp?make=Datsun direct fit and there is some N version where it adds some extra cooling. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-380325/ summit version and this would be a very tight fit. the frame rails are 25.5in across. this would require a hammer or some grinding. I would use the JTR bracktes or fab some up. http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Parts_DATZ_Radiator_Kit.html JTR set up looks nice also. all of these seem to be nice choices.

I have LS1 going in to our 240z 1971. I wanted to get some opinions on which to use. I have options to use a 94 Q45 or 5 300z-TT diffs? Both are about the same cost and come complete.

STI Hubs - Anyone Consider these?
Bare Speed replied to Gollum's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I like the idea. I have tons of coil overs sitting around. I thought about doing this at some point but dont have a the knuckles or donor car. Something to look in too. I do think it would take a few days to fab it up. Ill take a look around to see if I can find some parts. -
Overlooked 5-lug option?
Bare Speed replied to Dan_Austin's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Any thoughts on the AZC set up? Its very costly but it comes with brakes. The set up is worth more than the car. It does look great. -

did the Conquest hubs work for you? I have had no luck getting a hold of Modern Motor spots at all. I need to find a hub that will work or use some custom made adapters. I found a company in So cal that can make them. they would be 35mm (1.4in) adapters. If using flares then there would no be too much of an issue. I would rather find another hub to replace with. -

doesnt Modern Motor Sports make this hub you are looking for? I was looking to do the samething. -
has anyone tried to use 19in wheels on the 240Z?

Hi We just finished the roof skin. I made a few different versions. Since our was going to bestructuctural we made it stronger. 2 layers fiber backing and 2 layers CF. Another version would be 2 layers fiber and 1 layer CF for looks. If anyone is interested we can make a full CF version. It would save some weight.

the mold is getting made this week. I will post the carbon pictures soon

Hi here are some answers layers of fabric, and what type of weave? fiberglass with gelcoat. carbon weave will be the 3k stuff. looks like all other types of CF 5 layers of FG and 1 layer of CF to keep the cost down. I anyone is intersted in full CF let me know. Are you using polyester ,or epoxy? Epoxy resign with UV coating. Is there a clear gel coat to give it some UV protection since it's on the top of the car? UV clear coat. also this will be a cover or replacement roof. I think is will fab up some kind of addtional bracing since the top will be cut out. thanks for the response. I will make a mold of it after I finish. I should have some pictures up this week.
